Her eyes widened, unable to comprehend Carmine's actions. Carmine's voice grew even more menacing, his words laced with a chilling determination. "I want this girl alive at all costs! Do you get it?!" His dark, scary eyes bore into Jasmine's soul, revealing a side of him she had never seen before. The sheer intensity of his gaze sent shivers down her spine, shaking her to the core.

I shuffled back home. I entered the house and saw Harley looking furiously at the time. Her eyes were black, I shivered upon sighting her eyes. Her eyes mostly scare me. No day passes without me having to see those black, spine-chilling eyes of hers. I inhaled sharply. She looked up at me, I clung to the hem of my gown, my hands were already sweating. My legs shuddered as I shuffled to her. Niamh curled back down, she was scared too.

He is glaring down at me, my eyes are wide looking at his scary face. The face I promised myself not to see again. The face that haunted my dreams. My heart was beating very loudly. God have mercy please. He is still glaring at me. I gulped as I kept my eyes glued at him. I don't understand why but I can't seem to look away. His eyes are dark and scary but..... something feels weird and different about them today. I feel my heartbeat calming down. Fear is replaced with a foreign feeling. I don't understand it.

I jumped back in fear at what I saw. “No! No more!” she screamed, and then collapsed. A shiver ran down my spine as I couldn’t remove the image of her eyes. They had turned pitch black, surrounded by dark, twisted veins that spread out like a web across her pale skin and blood trailed down the side of her head.

I shrieked in fear when I felt their hands on my hair and I finally saw their presence before me. Red, dark and dangerous. It made me swallow harsh intake of hair as their canines were out, ready to devour me. “She smells good too, a nice neck at that. “Let's take her home, enough talking. The blood moon is making my throat burn dry.” I stared at the desperate one with Auburn hair and black eyes, they all had black eyes making them look extremely scary and different and hiding the beauty they were supposed to possess. “You might not want to do that!” I replied boldly even though I was shaking and vibrating within.

A menacing smile played at the corners of his lips, and fear twisted in my gut. He raised his head, giving me a better glimpse of his face. The first thing I noticed was the scar around his right eye. I jerked out of his arms, and a lump grew in my throat. I swallowed, trying to push it down, but my saliva scorched the walls of my throat like a scalding cup of coffee.

“I’m sorry… just don’t like when people lie to my face—even if it’s in silence.” She nodded but still steered clear of me. “Then I’ll suggest you stop smiling.” I stared at her, hard. She tossed her hair. “I don’t know if you’re aware of the fact that your eyes do not reflect emotion like normal people’s. You have dead man’s eyes, which means that when you smile, it’s even scarier.” I said nothing—just watched the numbers climb up. She cleared her throat. “I’m not scared of you, if that’s what you’re thinking. Actually, I have a friend like that. She goes haywire when you lie to her face.”

SOFIA My mother lets out a scream when she sees a scary-looking man with razor-sharp teeth and bright red eyes slam their hands on the window. He tries to break the window and get their hands on us all. He looks so monstrous. I look at the man with fear and interest at the same time because it’s obvious these are vampires, but what kind of vampires are they? Vampires usually have silver eyes, and they don’t look like lunatics, well, sometimes they do, but not in this manner.

Rage and the need to bring destruction kept surging into my mind and swelling into a hideous monster that threatened to flood my senses. I kicked open the door angrily, effectively shattering the romantic atmosphere. Marcus stared at me in shock. He parted his lips, looking like he was about to say something. But before he could do so, Sylvia cut him off by calling out his name lovingly. So, Marcus moved to stand before Sylvia, effectively blocking her from my line of sight. He made it seem like I could easily rip Sylvia into pieces with just my sight.
