Scooby Doo: The Luna Ghost Novels & Stories

We skipped past the fake pleasantries and got straight down to business. Lorenzo brought along the audio disk as well as a laptop so that the Luna could experience first-hand the horrors and monumental audacity that the Blue Moon Pack possessed. To say it was difficult hearing that disturbing audio of my dad, was a complete understatement. But for the sake of the work, I held it together as best as I could. The Lycan Luna, however, was not handling things too well. She was stunned. Her eyes were filled with mortified fear while her whole body went stiff as stone.

Her screams faded into nothing as she finally passed. After a few weeks, I knew exactly what I was going to do. But I needed a little more time. The ritual was a lot more complicated than expected. But I knew that she was the key, I already knew when she was going to become Luna, she was already Luna but it didn't seem so pronounced. She was the last one of her kind. I just needed to figure out a way to get her off alone. Then I knew the answer to what I was looking for, it was her peace.

“They’re ’noying Rhea! Make them stop!” Rhea’s exasperated sigh came right behind it. “They’re not wolves, Lu,” Rhea said. “They’re raccoons. And they’re in the alley, not at the window.” “Raccoons are just trash wolves,” Luna insisted. Despite everything, Lyra’s mouth twitched. “Put me on speaker,” Lyra said. A scuffle of sound. Then, “You’re on,” Rhea muttered. “Luna,” Lyra said. She pitched her voice low and even the same way she did with skittish patients. “Pup. I’m here.”

She knocked once before entering, and found Osmond seated behind his desk, who immediately turned towards her. “Papa,” she called cheerfully. “I’ve brought good news for all of us.” Osmond immediately rose from his chair. “What is it?” he asked, quickly walking over to Paige, who had already sat down on the sofa. “What good news?” Paige looked at Osmond with sparkling eyes. “I’m going to become Luna very soon.” Osmond froze for a moment, then asked with unmistakable enthusiasm, “What did you say?” A bright laugh spilled from Paige’s lips. Understanding Osmond’s shock, she explained, “Alpha asked if I would be willing to undergo the blood bond ritual and become his Luna.”

The man was driving with one hand on the steering wheel, the other reaching back to… to touch my leg. I tried to pull away but my body wouldn’t listen. My arms felt like they weighed a thousand pounds. “Get away from me…” The man laughed. It was an ugly sound. “You’re not in any position to make demands, Luna.” Luna. He knew who I was. Terror shot through me, cutting through some of the drug-induced haze. This wasn’t random. This wasn’t just some creep who’d seen a pretty girl in a bar. He’d targeted me specifically.

"That's why I've come today, Luna. Our bond may have been arranged by the Alpha, but I seek your blessing… I want to reject him as my mate." Luna let out a long, weary sigh and sank into the chair behind her, pressing her hand to her chest. "Ella… I know the rules of your clan," she said with tired eyes. "But if you reject him, tell me—who else could possibly be your mate? There's no one else in the pack who matches your standing… except perhaps Derek, but he is so…" She trailed off, her expression tightening at the mention of Kelvin's youngest brother. The name alone made her uneasy. Derek—the troublemaker of the entire pack.

For me. “There you are,” I breathed, stepping closer. The book pulsed under my touch like a living heart. My pulse aligned with it. My vision sharpened, then tunneled, and locked onto the pages like fate. The grimoire flipped open on its own to a page inked with a sigil of tearing shadows and spirals of glyphs that felt older than the pack, older than wolves, older than gods. A curse. One meant to unravel a Luna. To hollow her out. To break her spirit. To destroy her bond. To steal her crown.

In the darkness in-between the trees I saw the black hoodie and the sound of a moving heart. I wondered who it might be because it wasn't a routine to see pack members lingering in this part of the woods unless it was a rogue. She gaped when I appeared beside her, I grabbed her neck and shoved her out of the woods " who sent you?" I demanded in my cold roughy tone ready to cut open her little throat. She was a Lycan but her scent was masked. " It's me , Luna sent me to you" she let out immediately I moved a feet forward forcing me to halt.

She asked and I bowed my head, my body trembling slightly as I tried to ignore her remarks. “I’m talking to you hippopotamus, don’t ignore me! Understand?” She snarled as she grabbed my hair tightly and I nodded, letting out inaudible cries of pain. “Lauren, how about you get something for our dear friend here? What should we call her? Hippo fits perfectly. Please get something nice for hippo” She pleaded nicely and I bit back tears that were already forming in my eyes. “Oops, my hands are really slippery…” Anita apologized as she pushed my tray to the ground. I was in great pain as I watched her step on the food. I hadn’t even had up to half of it and they were taunting me already.
