"Look, Mom! I made this for you!" I looked up from where I sat on the edge of the bed, my body still aching from yesterday's confrontation with Damon. Ethan stood before me, proudly holding up a sheet of paper covered in colorful crayon marks. "It's beautiful, sweetheart," I said, taking the drawing from his small hands. Three stick figures stood holding hands - a small one in the middle and two taller ones on either side. He'd colored himself with spiky hair, me with long green lines for hair, and a larger figure with brown hair.

I bit my lip to stay silent, thighs trembling as I came on my own fingers, eyes still fixed on the drawing. I sat back, breathing hard, staring at what I’d created. It wasn’t polite gallery art. It was filthy. Honest. Vulnerable. Exactly what I had always been afraid to show. I flipped to a new page and started again this time drawing Damien alone. Not the polished CEO in a suit, but the man in the penthouse: shirt open, chest glistening with sweat, eyes dark with hunger as he looked down at me. But that wasn’t what he was drawing today. There was a picture of two girls—rendered crudely in crayon, but still identifiable as girls. One of them had short blond hair and the other had long brown braids. Their hands were on their faces and their mouths open in screams. David had drawn these as big black circles. A huge black shadow hovered before them, a shapeless body with red eyes and clearly defined hands. The hands looked like long silver knives. There were many drawings before this one. Lauren wondered how long David had been at it.

The first page was a rough drawing. My breath caught. It was tall. Twisted. The limbs were elongated, unnatural. The face distorted, the mouth stretched too wide, the eyes hollow and wrong. My hands began to shake. “No,” I whispered. “What?” Erica asked, stepping closer. “What did you find?” I flipped to the next page. More drawings. Different angles. More detail. Claw marks. Teeth. Notes scribbled hastily in the margins. My heart slammed against my ribs.

Now I know I won't be able to stop my friend and I quickly see him open the package, with precision and what I saw took my breath away, there were two drawings, one outfit for me and one for Liam, there was no signature, but the photos of the Ivory Woods pack attached to the side of the drawing, indicates perfectly what it was and the reference used for the drawings.
