Unlike upstairs, everything seemed to be neatly organized. I began to scour the bookshelves, searching for anything that would even remotely resemble the book that I heard about. If it was going to be anywhere, it would be here… I was sure of it. I had a good feeling about this place. At first, my search was fruitless. There were plenty of rare books, but none of them seemed to contain any information on the Golden Wolf. I even went through each bookshelf twice, but found nothing. Don’t mess with other books,” The librarian stated while her eyes again went back to the book in her hand. She didn’t bother to look at Nicolas any more.

I don't know if it was curiosity or a supernatural connection. The door creaked as I stepped inside. The scent of him still lingered in the air, strong with something darker. Surely, it wouldn’t be out in the open, but he also wouldn’t tuck it away somewhere that would take years to find. Flora began pulling books from the shelves one by one, opening them carefully and flipping through the pages, hoping to find something—anything—that might give her a clue. Most of the books were old and untouched, dusty even. It was tedious work, and her patience began to wear thin as book after book yielded nothing.
