Fingers brushed skin at his throat, then lingered, thumb pressing lightly over the racing pulse.
“You’re not bait,” Kane growled softly. “Not while I’m here.”
Sebastian caught his wrist, holding it there against his chest. Their bodies were inches apart. He could smell leather and gun oil and raw alpha strength. His own scent was responding — sweetening despite the suppressors, betraying him.
“I’m tired of being watched,” Sebastian whispered, voice rough. “Tired of pretending I don’t feel you everywhere.”
