The room had turned into a mess, everything thrown around in my search. My frustration was growing. It wasn’t here. I hadn’t found it. Maybe Giselle had been lying after all, maybe this was just one last trick, one final attempt to mess with my mind before her end. But then something caught my eye. At the corner of the room, behind the wardrobe, was a small, hidden compartment — barely noticeable, except for the faint outline along the wall. My heart leapt in my chest. I rushed over, prying the panel open with trembling fingers. Inside, nestled in the dark space, was a book.

She sighed and turn to leave when she felt the key beneath her feet under the foot mat. Hmm, she sighed and bent a bit , trying hard not to make Hibah who was sleeping peacefully wake up or fall. She got hold of the keys, inserted it into the key hole and opened the door. It was so quiet and it was furnished to a taste . It was her first time of being in the furnished apartment since Sadiqah’S Nikkah, she try so much to keep her distance , she walked into the kitchen, it a quarter empty ... Oh, she moved just her things!

Angela shouted, closing the suitcase again and shoving it before Gilberd. "Especially Uncle. Uncle has no right to keep all this when the head of the family is already there, "cried Gilbert. "All of this is yours, Angela. So save it!" Dareen exclaimed. Angela looked at Regan, and Regan nodded his head. "The other wealth is in a secret room, which is the big vault of this family. And the key is with you, which is the symbol of the key to the Gonemanus family," Gilberd exclaimed.

At first I was confused as to why we were at the bookshelf but he suddenly inputs his passcode on a keypad at the wall and a door opens up in the middle of the bookshelf. There was a secret room behind the door. He pulled me along as he walked inside the secret room which has a mini kitchen, a mini living room and lastly a bedroom and also a bathroom.. He dragged me all the way to the bedroom and threw me against the bed aggressively.. “You need to be reminded of the fact that I own you and you can't do as you please…” He spoke and began unbuttoning his shirt while I moved further away from him… I knew something like this was gonna happen but wasn't expecting it to be too soon…

“She's not on the seat now. Let's go quickly before she returns,” Paul understood the assignment. He was more alert than I was. Like thieves at night, Paul and I sneaked into Ethan's Father's office. Unfortunately for us, the secretary returned and ran after us. However, it was too late for her. Paul and I already found our way inside the office where we met with Mr. Woods. “I warned them not to come inside. They pretended to be gone only for them to sneak in after I left for the restroom,” The secretary explained in a weaker tone.

It made me see the door that led into the bathroom and a big bookshelf I had missed earlier. “I want to show you something.” He gestured for me to follow him as he walked over to the bookshelf. I frowned when he pulled a specific book a few inches out of its spot and a click filled the room. He glanced at me, and then pulled the shelf away from the wall, revealing a secret room. “A nest if you ever need one.” “I won’t,” I replied. But curiosity had me moving past him into the room. There were no windows. A big canopy bed occupied the center of the room. Thick purple curtains surrounded the bed which was covered with different size pillows.

It was a secret button. I pressed it gently. With a very soft click, a hidden compartment popped open at the back of the desk. Inside the dark space sat a thick, heavy book with a dark leather cover. It was a hidden ledger. My heart began to beat faster inside my chest. I took the heavy book out of the hiding place and brought it into the pale moonlight by the window. I opened the first page, my blue doe eyes narrowing as I began to read the neat, cramped handwriting. As I turned the pages, a cold wave of shock and anger rushed through my veins.

Sienna The suffocating silence of the bar seemed to press down on my chest like a physical weight, making it incredibly hard to draw a full breath. I slowly pulled my hand back out of the hidden compartment beneath the dark marble counter, my knuckles scraping lightly against the wood of the interior frame. Wrapped securely in my trembling fingers wasn't a stash of unmarked cash, a black ledger, or a modern weapon. It was just a book. A thick, heavy, dust-jacketed volume that had been tucked away into the hollowed-out space of the bar.

"You've got no right to talk about love. A hidden girlfriend? Nah, just my replacement." Anger surged within me. Before I could shoot back, her smile turned cruel. She shoved past me, knocking my shoulder hard. "Know your place." Her footsteps faded, leaving me clutching my chest. The pain was unbearable. Luke failed me, but Karma always came back around. Once I calmed down, I went home. Mike called. "Your fiancé got you an animal biology book with real specimens inside. Pretty cool, right? How are you going to thank me?"

Justin's said to him self as he kept staring at the paper in his hands. His pulse began raising as he found it hard to swallow. Guilt filled him up as he felt that he had trespassed into Drake's secret he wouldn't want anyone to know. As he stood there thinking he heard footsteps approaching the office which he recognized as Drake's.
