A minute later, Mr John Doe walks into view and extends his hand to the top shelf, grabbing a bottle of wine and immediately walking out of view. “ Why would you say that something seems off?” I asked after watching the video. “ Nothing seems off to me”. “ I said I wasn't really sure, but something seems off”, she said again, firmly, and just to make sure that I wasn't missing any detail, I played the video again. As Mr John Doe was about to grab the bottle of wine from the top shelf, I heard someone scream from outside the window. “ You short moron!” The person said, and then it struck me.

Honestly, he looked exactly the same as before. But how did this happen? Lawrence knelt on one knee and kissed the tears from the corner of my eye. Then, he murmured, "Sylvia, you can act out if you want, but don't hurt yourself, okay? It breaks my heart to see you in pain."

With no one backing her, Sandra suddenly broke down, crying hard. "Don't listen to him! He just doesn't want to take responsibility. I gave him ten years, and he canceled the wedding like it meant nothing. I'm not going to sit here and take that!" A nurse came running out from the building. "Mr. Gray, your father just went into cardiac arrest. He's critical!" The memory hit me all at once. Everything went blank. I moved without thinking, heading back inside. Sandra stepped in front of me, blocking the way, a twisted smile on her face.

However he doubted if he could do that for long as his boss hasn’t been picking his calls or responding to his texts. “ That little brat!.” She swore between clenched teeth and squeezed her palms into fists. “ Call him over at once.” She ordered. ” I'm afraid I have done so Ma but he never picks.” He disclosed, his head still bowed. Mrs. Ivy exhaled deeply before signaling him to leave. She was fed up with Marco’s constant disappearance whenever an issue occurred between them. This time around was a wrong timing because they had an important meeting going on, a deal worth billions.

Jordan’s POV I starred at my screen for a couple of minutes before realizing what had actually just happened. So the person I had seen that day was John? I wasn’t hallucinating? He’s alive? But how? My mind raced with countless questions. Another text message came in. “Meet me at the public park at exactly 12am. Don’t text me. I’ll be the person doing the texting and I’ll be waiting for you.” It was 11:30pm and I couldn’t afford to lose this opportunity. If it was a scam, then I’d risk it. They’re just some certain things I need to know and only John can fill me in. I pulled up my trousers and stormed out of the bathroom.

All the pain and bitterness I carried stemmed from a man I could never hold onto. Amidst the tension, the butler suddenly entered the room. He glanced at me cautiously before speaking to Matteo. “Sir, someone is here to see you. It’s… Riley…” Matteo instinctively looked toward me, but before he could stop anything, Riley had appeared in front of us. She was dressed elegantly, looking every bit the gentle woman. “I-I didn’t mean to interrupt. Matteo, I missed you.” Matteo hurried over to support her.

It was all him and his masculinity that was turning my legs weak at the moment. And then I stopped thinking altogether as we started dancing. Absentmindedly, I registered the fact that the song which started playing was ‘Never let me go’ by Teffler. It was ironic since I was going to let him go soon. Though we were mates, we were just not meant to be…

The way he freezes is almost funny. I fold my arms, staring him down. “What? Forget your place?” The others notice the tension now. “Yeah, what happened?” one of them pipes up. “Why’d you interrupt them? Mike, what’s wrong with you?” Olivia glides over, all sugary concern. “What’s the problem, honey?” Mike clears his throat. “Well… their time was already up.” “I wasn’t aware there was a timer,” I say, raising a brow. “No one said anything about the lap dance being timed… or is there something I’m missing?”

I say slowly feeling my flesh leave my body. "I love you so much Aaron. Never forget that." I say ending my voice message then I feel my eyes slowly shutting. I collapse not long after.
