The Beta & the jewel thief - book 6

The Beta & the jewel thief - book 6

His pale, almost grey skin, has the hairs on the back of my neck standing on end. “Who’s she?” The man snarls my way. “Who are you?” Bram asks him with as much venom laced in his words. The man’s eyes shift to Bram, “You can call me Twenty-Nine. Shadow sends his regards.” He glances at me again, his lip curling up with distaste. “Again, who is she?” “The person that’s going to get Shadow what he wants,” Bram replies with a matter of fact. Twenty-Nine - such a strange name. Even for a street name. Everything about this man is strange and wrong. He has no scent, skin the color of ash with eyes that seem to peer into your very soul with an air of evil intent.

I really enjoyed this series. Many books on this platform have similar stories, which gets boring really fast. This book series kept me entertained the whole time. It had the perfect balance of romance and action. I enjoyed getting to know each character in more detail as each book was added.

Shadows of the past

Shadows of the past

Yet,his eyes yearned for one particular person,Natasha. However, in a sudden and captivating turn of events,Rex attention was seized by a group of photographers hastening towards an opulent black Porsche 911 Carrera 4s Coupe. Curiosity piqued ,Rex wondered who could be commanding such attention. And there in that electrifying moment, his eyes beheld Natasha radiating in a breathtaking ensemble. She wore a stunning short dress, adorned with an optical illusion sheer top intricately embroidered to tastefully cover her chest area. The dress further boasted figure flattering midriff cut outs accentuated by cascading red feathers delicately around her waist. Completing the ensemble, Natasha donn

Under the Shadow of the Moon

Under the Shadow of the Moon

“Just tell me why you’re here. Please.” I don’t expect him to step forward the way he does. My heart skips a beat, and I step back a few times while I ask myself what I’m doing. The man steps out of the shadows, tall and broad, his presence swallowing the space between us. He’s clad in dark clothes—black, from his boots to the long coat that flutters slightly with the breeze. The fabric is heavy, almost swallowing the light, but it moves like it’s part of him, like it carries a quiet power. His hands rest at his sides, gloved, as if he’s always ready to strike.

Shadows Of The Heart

Shadows Of The Heart

He stopped, opened the suitcase and located the plug, pressing it gently into the phone before shutting the case again. He stood and approached the thin, seeing the overgrown weeds and untamed brambles that had been left unchecked as no one wanted to approach. His chest vibrated with the nagging sense of impending doom but Vanadine ignored it until he was inches from the thin, a slight shimmer like water poured over a glass pane indicating its presence. What if this goes wrong? What if Tommy made a mistake? What if the explosion destroys the thin?

SHADOWS OF TRUST

SHADOWS OF TRUST

“I need the file on Jude Stones.” Andre walked over to the filing cabinet and pulled the file. She handed it to Philip and stepped back. The look on his face meant someone would either die, lose their job or have so many broken bones there would be no recovery. “Call Broos, tell him leak any dirt we have on Stones.” “Sir.” Back in Reception “I’m tired of this Mr. Stones, I won’t be sleeping with you, please leave me alone.” “Don’t be shy all of a sudden, I see how you spread your legs on stage, inviting men to do things to you. I won’t hurt you but I bet I’m bigger than the cripple, you will feel me for a week. Give it a try.”

His Shadowed Desires

His Shadowed Desires

As I approached the corner, I spotted the man leaning against a lamppost, his face obscured by the shadows. “Cassandra?” he asked, his voice low and rough. I nodded, keeping my distance. “You have it?” He reached into his jacket and pulled out a small, nondescript package, no bigger than a paperback book. “Same deal as always. No stops, no questions. Got it?” “Got it.” I stepped forward, taking the package from him. He lingered for a moment, his eyes scanning the street before nodding and disappearing into the shadows. I slipped the package into my bag and turned to leave, my heart already racing.

THE AUREUM TRIAL: BLOOD OATH

THE AUREUM TRIAL: BLOOD OATH

And then—inevitably—changing. A tremor passed through the black. Subtle at first. Barely more than a ripple, a thin seam of motion threading through the silence. But then the dark began to thin—not recede, not part, but thin—like ink dropped in water beginning to settle, revealing what had always been hidden beneath. Shadows melted into suggestion. Suggestion solidified into shape. And suddenly, I was no longer alone.

SILVER IN THE SHADOWS

SILVER IN THE SHADOWS

The moonlight spilling through the wide windows of Trisha's chamber was cool and pale, like champagne poured over ice. Silk sheets tangled around her bare legs, the scent of lust still thick in the room. The man beside her-Anton, tall, sharp-jawed, and too beautiful for his own good, propped himself up on one elbow, grinning like he’d just won a prizefight. “You always do that thing with your hips when you’re about to come,” he said, brushing sweat-damp hair from his brow.

IN THE SHADOW OF DESIRE

IN THE SHADOW OF DESIRE

“So I’m your shadow now?” Damian stepped closer, eyes sharp. “You’re under my protection. There’s a difference.” The room seemed to shrink, his presence pressing in, heavy and undeniable. For one terrifying, intoxicating moment, Amara wondered if the danger wasn’t outside at all - but standing right in front of her. The man cleared his throat. “There’s more.” He tapped the folder again and slid another photograph across the table. Amara’s blood ran cold. It wasn’t her. It wasn’t Damian.

Fated to the Beast

Fated to the Beast

shouted the man while taking a step back from the bridge's guardrail. The yellow light of the street lamp shone on his emaciated body. He walked slowly away from the bridge in the direction of Haridra City. The shadow of his body reflected on the pavement surface slowly became long and large. The shadow of the thin man's body turned into that of a large figure with a long head and arms. Sharp claws stretched around the shadow and continued to follow the skinny man in despair.
