“But you’re not her,” I said, stepping forward. “You can choose.”
Seren walked up beside me, and for the first time, she looked clear. Present.
“There’s a third shadow,” she murmured, her gaze distant but focused. “One who has not yet risen. When they do, the world will tilt. And only the gatekeeper can choose which shadow survives.”
