He shifted as he strode toward a bleeding creature. Dante was huge, and unlike the other shifters around him who were on all fours after shifting, he stood on two feet. His frame was even larger than before his transformation. Thick black fur covered his massive body, and every step he took carried an overwhelming authority. For a few seconds, Rhea forgot about the danger around her. Her gaze remained fixed on him, as if everything else had faded from existence and only he remained. Then she saw him move. His arm shot forward with inhuman speed. His claws pierced straight into the creature’s chest before tearing its heart out. The lifeless body slumped to the ground.

At the age of twelve, Raiden entered the training ground to become a hunter. He wanted to dedicate his life to protecting everybody in the village. He knew that he was adopted, but he had no recollection of his biological parents. He had witnessed several killings and werewolf attacks at a young age. He aims to completely get rid of the werewolves before he enters into a family affair. He was looking into creating a family with his crush, Harriet. She was an adopted daughter of his mother's sister. They are not blood-related, but they are too close to each other.

I declared with my soft but deep and demanding tone. Whats that Alpha Raphael? “I need your daughter to come with me…. ” I let out and I could detect the shock on his face but before he could make up another meaning for that, I continued.. “Your daughter Eleanor is my mate, no matter how much I would love to reject her for what happened earlier, I just couldn't because she also has a blood of an Alpha… She will be a Luna soon and that behavior is what I would never want…” I explained and the look on his face was mixed that I could not process it at all…

He clenched his wrists to stop the shaking and licked at his lips, but his tongue met nothing but dryness. “My parents…” he croaked. Caden stepped forward slowly with a dark expression in his gaze. His head tilted slightly. “What… did you say?” Raphael blinked, then he snapped out of it. He stared at Caden and took a cautious step back, his next words spilling too fast. “I am Raphael Ashen. The son of Alpha Riad Ash…” He didn’t finish, Caden’s fist landed against his jaw, cracking the air. Raphael heard a distant pop of bone. Then came the heat, lighting his face on fire and rushing down his neck.

Still, he had been the catalyst, and I could not have lived with myself if I’d thrown away someone I loved only to replace them with a vampire. A vampire, a creature of no morals and forged from pure sin. Instead, I’d found another hunter. Had I told Harper, been honest with him, I’d have stolen his innocence, and put him in danger. But Cyrus knew, and I would be doing him no harm. He was a teammate, already equipped to stand by my side as I fought against the evil creatures that sought to destroy humanity. “You’ll have to come and see my office, when I start,” he was saying as we rounded the final corner. “The library there is huge, too – I’m sure you’ll find something of interest to read.”

"Keep it steady!" I regained my footing between the bags, aimed, then took another two shots. One hit his upper arm, the other his shoulder, but he kept coming, unfazed by the gushing holes. I shifted my weight onto my other foot and grinned. I might not have stopped him, but the Thornblood dipped bullets had punctured him, binding shade and host to the same satisfying fate. I fired one last time, hitting him strait between his soulless eyes.

After that, a different kind of satisfaction came across me. I enjoyed hunting these human hunters, thus, killing 10 werewolves and being the youngest and best werewolf hunter. Rendall killed 8 werewolves which are also not that bad, Quinn is setting poisonous traps and putting some on the bows granting her 4 kills. We make a great team. “Let’s go, Raffi.” I turned and saw Rendall brushing his mid-length hair using his fingers. “Are you going on a date?” I asked him as I scanned his clothes.

His hands flew up to brace himself and I twisted one arm behind his back and pressed my knife along the side of his throat. “Morning. You want to tell me why you’re following me?” I asked. He froze for a minute and that’s when I realized that I knew him. Not well but well enough. His name is Owen. One of Kyle’s youngest warriors. He was too eager, too nervous and too easy to send where he shouldn’t be. “Saphire.” He said. “That’s my name. Try answering the question.” I said. “I wasn’t following you.” he said. So I pressed the blade closer and a thin line of blood appeared under the edge.

"I can't go on another killing spree so soon. My mind... my soul is still too heavy from the last time. I can't look at that much blood right now." It was a lie. I wanted a little space from him. A slow, dark smile tugged at one corner of Raphael's mouth, but his eyes stayed completely serious, locked onto mine. "It's not that kind of hunt, Mess," he murmured, "It's a sex hunt. The one you snuck into and got caught in once." My breath caught flat in my throat. "Oh..." I managed to whisper, my cheeks instantly heating up as the wild memories of that night flashed through my mind.

The tempest raged on, thunder booming and rain lashing down, as Raphael stood firm against the unyielding tide of darkness. They were surrounding him, overwhelming him. I could hear Raziel yelling for us to stop. I know Raphael is his brother and he still cares about him, but this was not his fight. The sheer weight of the undead onslaught eventually proved too great for Raphael to withstand. His defenses began to falter, and still, I showed no mercy, refusing to halt the relentless tide of dark, reanimated bodies that threatened to engulf him.
