From Shadows, Emerging Tides

From Shadows, Emerging Tides

“It’s about a woman who comes into an inheritance she doesn’t know what to do with. It’s not sad the way it sounds. I read it in February.” She takes it. Their hands are both on it for one moment, his large tanned copper haired hand covers hers for a moment before she draws hers back. The book is slightly worn, the way a book is when it has been used by many people. “Thank you,” she says. Footsteps, purposeful: Leo appears at the end of the aisle, holding a book with the triumphant expression of someone who has confirmed a theory. He examines Gage and his mother’s concentration on each other. He sense something building between them. “Mom. Atlantic Drift Patterns in Storm Systems. Look at th

The Empire I Claimed

The Empire I Claimed

The once proud Don then sat in the shadows, unshaven, his eyes sunken, looking like a broken man. Someone stumbled in, his voice filled with despair. "Don… our last restaurants and shipping companies… they're gone too. The banks are calling in debts, and our enemies are already waiting outside." Vincent did not move. He looked like a statue. "And… and…" the man's voice shook as if he might break down. "We just received news… Sofia… she had a miscarriage… in the dungeon…" Vincent's eyes finally moved. Empty. No grief, no anger. Just a hollow, lifeless stillness.

Two worlds that collide

Two worlds that collide

"But shadows don't stay dead. They just wait for the lights to dim." Arthur stood up, pacing the length of the room like a caged tiger. The "Roman Empire"—the Volkov syndicate—had been the only force in this city that had ever truly challenged him. They didn't care about stock prices or legal injunctions. They moved in blood and silence. And Roman Volkov, the heir to that darkness, had been a ghost for years.

BOUND TO THE DEMON LORD

BOUND TO THE DEMON LORD

"Fine. I will show you who I am. I will show you what was erased from your history books." Suddenly, the cave walls didn't look like stone anymore. The shadows began to swirl, creating a living mural of smoke. Remiel saw a vision of a great empire, not the one he lived in, but one far older. He saw a king standing atop a throne of bone, commanding shadows that moved like soldiers.

I believe I’m about halfway through. This story is amazing, and definitely deserves a lot more notice. I see it’s completed and genuinely hope it is and you didn’t just stop updating it. The characters are great, the back stories to them especially Asher is amazing. Definitely recommend this book!

Hey Readers! I’ve poured my heart into about 80 chapters, yet not a single review. How am I supposed to know if the story is good, worth continuing, or if you’re dropping it halfway? Your feedback motivates me and keeps this story alive. No reviews soon, I’ll take a break and hold back new chapters.

The Pillars of Unity, now surrounded by an ethereal aura, seemed to reflect the internal struggle that mirrored the empire's own journey. In a climactic moment, the Keepers of the Veil, with Theron and Callisthenes at their side, managed to thwart the Shadows' ritual. The Pillars of Unity, bathed in the cosmic energies redirected by the Keepers, resonated with a harmonious hum that reverberated throughout the empire. The shadows that had threatened to engulf the joint empire recoiled in the face of the united front. The Shadows of Discord, their plans unraveling, retreated into the shadows from whence they came. The Pillars of Unity, now pulsating with a renewed vibrancy, stood as a symbol o

Her Empire

Her Empire

If a man wanted to, he could stand up and fight back, he would have a chance, but most women wouldn't. So instead I find their weaknesses and exploit them. Smiling at the next name I go to the club. Walking in I watch as everyone stays quiet. I see Evan look towards the fire exit, moving I rush to block it, grabbing him I throw him back. "What do you know?" "Well, the princess won't be ruling the city for long, that is for sure." He laughs, moving I punch him. "Who took her?" "You kill me you will never know." He smiles smugly. "I was expecting your visit, after standing right there watching them talk and listening, I couldn't wait to watch her empire fall down."

Shadows of deception

Aren't you afraid of me? When he asked, my heart disintegrated, then erupted with shattered pieces, sending a loud, thunderous explosion into my chest, sending chills down my spine. His eyes were blood red, and when I briefly caught a peek at them, all I could make out was emptiness. I was standing next to such a sterile individual who was devoid of any emotions and incapable of feeling anything. His soothing voice kind of lured you in while also sending chills down your spine. He had rosy lips. His voice could have easily put someone into an unbreakable trance, but here I was in his presence holding onto my sanity.

Shadows of the Past

Shadows of the Past

Slowly, the darkness fell, and instead of the sun, the moon rose in the sky, more majestic than the most precious jewel. The night that fell was growing colder and colder and the pain in my soul was growing harder and harder to bear. I felt lost. I was a man without a future. Feeling scared and overwhelmed, I took tiny steps into a future that looked like a canyon. I hated it, but I also loved it madly. I couldn’t forget her stony face or the venomous eyes I saw the night of the accident. But I couldn’t get out of my heart her naïve, pained, passionate nature with which she had captivated me. Who was the real Emily? What could I do now that I knew the truth? When I was totally lost, I felt a

he choked out, hoping she didn’t notice how uncomfortable he was. “Not only that, but look at that horse over there. He could be King’s twin,” she said with wonder. “You don’t say. Why yes, I think you’re right. Son-of-a-gun,” Brandon said as convincingly as he could. “Well, that makes sense. If I read the book correctly, Shadow Land began as a kind of mirror of our reality,” she mused. “Your reality isn’t the civil war,” he stated flatly. “Reality of the earth plane and humans in general is what I meant,” she replied.
