I forcefully opened the door so I could help myself upstairs but suddenly fell on something. I lay down screaming in pain but no one was coming to my rescue. I turned around to try getting hold of something I could stand with when my hand suddenly hit a glass and everything shattered into pieces on me and pierced through my skin. A few seconds later, I felt the omegas gathering around but no one dared to offer me a helping hand as they would be severely punished. I was still struggling to get up when I heard a familiar voice screaming my name.

His eyes went wide. "What the fuck is she—" The ground under Aria cracked. Shadows poured out. Actual shadows. Thick and black and moving like they were alive. They wrapped around the wolves before they could run. Screaming. So much screaming. Aria watched through the pain as the shadows squeezed. The wolves thrashed. Tried to shift. Tried to fight. The shadows tightened. Bones snapped. Wet. Loud. The yelling ceased. The shadows slithered back into the crack after dropping four bodies on the ground. They vanished as if they had never been.

So much blood, so much destruction. Shadows seeped from the darkness, like branches and vines. “What are you planning, son? This obsession will destroy you.” Ace looked him dead in the eye. “Stop speaking of him like he’s God. Sandro bleeds like any man. And when the curtain rises, he’ll regret ever touching what’s mine.” He turned back to the mirror. “And don’t touch the girl. She’s mine.” Shadow’s expression darkened, but he said nothing more and exited. Once in his room, he pulled out his phone and dialed a number. The line connected instantly. “I’ve waited long enough,” Shadow said coldly. “I don’t care what your grand plan is, Cleo. Kill the girl. Three days. If she’s still breathing after that, I’ll handle it myself.”
