I told them, and when they nodded, I walked past them, following the rotten scent I was smelling again.
I could see clearly in the dark even without the flashlight’s aid, yet someone or something was following me, but it was like I was walking blindly in the dark.
A hand gripped my arm, startling me, and even with my eyes wide, I could not see the person holding me, slashing my skin with a sharp knife.
The familiar pain frightened me as I continued to blink, using my best to see the person who tried to kill me, but the person ran away before I could scream in pain.
