He secretly whispered something in Theodore's ear, making him nod his head attentively. “Deal,” Theodore said once Asher finished, raising his fist in the air only for Asher to bump it with his own. “What's going on here?” I finally asked Asher, wanting to know what it was that he wouldn't tell me. “It's a top secret, mummy.” Asher gave a cheeky smile. “So now you are going to keep secrets from your mummy?”

“A game? At bedtime?” “Yep,” I said, leaning in a little closer. “It’s called the ‘Get Rid of Secrets’ game. It works like magic. You and I take turns telling a secret—something we’ve never told anyone before. It helps clear your mind so you can sleep.” Evan’s lips twitched into a hesitant smile. “That’s… a weird game.” “Maybe,” I admitted, “but it works. Want to try?” He hesitated for a moment, then nodded. “Okay, but you go first.”

She asked her mother who chuckled. “ Gerald is under my nails honey, his precious secrets lie here with me,” she said holding her chest as she smiled. “ what’s this secret that you don’t want to share with me?” She asks for Martha to smile. “When a secret is more than two people then it’s no secret honey. Just don’t worry, that alone is our key to getting whatever we want from him.” She said for Kayla to smile.
