Silent Night, Eyes Shut Tight

Silent Night, Eyes Shut Tight

That night, we all sat in the living room watching a classic Christmas movie. Onscreen, in The Polar Express, Santa slid down a chimney with his giant sack of gifts, smiling at the children. I watched the screen, but all I could picture was the twisted figure Sophie described. Spider fingers, too many joints, a tilted head, standing perfectly still. Suddenly, it hit me. A gaping hole in Sophie's story.

Spirits of the Night

Spirits of the Night

The light illuminated the space, full of old objects and stacked boxes. As she walked, a loose floorboard creaked beneath her feet. She bent down to see what it was and, with some effort, lifted the board. She found an old book, covered in dust, with a leather cover filled with drawings of supernatural creatures. Scarlett’s heart began to race; something about the book drew her in, as if it held secrets waiting to be discovered.

The Alpha's Second Chance Mate

The Alpha's Second Chance Mate

She was as cold as ice and immobile. “Oh, dear child. Beautiful as always. Did they make you sad?” The first one asked, coiling around her. The only thing that came to light was Scarlet's beautiful face and her bright eyes, which radiated under the moonlight, as well as her pink lengthy gown. The only thing from the witches which the moon got a glimpse of were their fingers, which were in a skeleton form. The flesh was gone, replaced with an ugly definition of their phalanges. Scarlet managed a nod.

My Dear Nightmare

My Dear Nightmare

I was someone who suffered from nightmares, but paradoxically, the darkness here, was calming. I dragged my feet towards his bed and that’s when I saw the frame on his nightstand, next to a Bible. This man owned a Bible? My curiosity fully took over from this moment. I flipped it open. Maxine Jackson. I frowned a closed it. Who was she? My eyes slid back to the frame and I picked it up. It was a picture of a young woman, probably in her early thirties. She had thick black hair and blue eyes. Alexander’s eyes were a dark grey, but the resemblance was uncanny. This was his mother and that Bible perhaps, was hers.

Now, the consigliere wants me back!

Now, the consigliere wants me back!

He giggled, guiding me further to the house by the waist; I was giggling foolishly as well. "Oh shit!" I cried out, jumping on top of Bradley, who luckily caught me with ease. The skeleton that fell to our front was staring at me like it was about to feast on my soul. I don't know how Bradley wasn't scared; is it because he is a man? This shit was damn too creepy; I regretted adding it to my wish list for him to fulfill.

Life After Prison

Life After Prison

They simply needed to fly past the mountains ahead to finally enter Eastplain. All of a sudden, a mocking jeer was heard. "My, how bold of you to show up here!" A dense black mist rose from the mountains, and within it was a massive white skeleton that resembled a demonic entity rising from the depths of hell. The skeleton exuded a terrifying aura, while its body was shrouded in a greenish glow. Its eye sockets bore faint flickers of greenish flames, and surrounding it were ghostly apparitions. More astonishingly, the skeleton possessed the strength of a half-immortal.

one of the best novels of this site. well written and great story. The only problem is Monday you get a lot of pages and chapters, and the rest of the week you get a page a day. Come on the author and this site can do better. Really about to stop reading because of this.

"Tell him whatever you think it is best 'cause I won't be showing up. If 'she is asleep' that comes to your mind, say it. Or 'she don't wanna come' it is fine by me, 'she doesn't want to see you' whichever way. I am not just coming." "Okay then." "Thank you as you do so," I plugged my earpiece, then laid back on bed. "Goodnight." **** (No! Whimpering! Darkness! Fire! Tears!) Noo! Not again! I pressed my back against the wall, folded up a leg, then I dug my finger into my hair. This is beyond me mum, dad! I can't handle this all alone. What is the secret behind this nightmare? *** The shadow was moving closer. It was following me all over again. This couldn't be Brad. That was not Brad. So wh

Belle Vue

So far these were the only females he’d noticed with this anomaly. As he moved farther away from the entrance, beyond the reach of the other lantern and candles, he relied solely on his torch and a lamp that barely flickered. His steps now resembled a crab-like sideways shuffle as he felt there was less danger of treading on something he’d rather not. On his next slide along the floor, his foot connected with something. Something that moved and clattered. He directed the torch’s unsteady beam downward. Dozens of skeletons, sitting or lying slouched against each other. They were all naked, refused one last dignity. Some were missing limbs, others were charred in places. Alex recoiled as a cou

The Almighty Dragon General

The skeleton slowly stood up and looked at James with empty eyes. The eerie scene made James’ skin crawl. As James unconsciously staggered backward, he looked at the skeleton cautiously and asked, “A-Are you Xandros Tegan?” “After waiting for countless years, at long last, a human has arrived.”

This end is terrible. I strongly believe there is a volume 2 or part 2. I refuse to be left hanging and thinking of a million ways the whole thing played out. Patiently waiting for volume 2............

Sold to the vampire king

Sold to the vampire king

The skeleton man had worms and maggots in his belly and body, and his dead skin was hanging off his bones like worn-out rags. He has a few strands of hair stuck on the back of his skull. He stood with his bony foot pressed into a dead man's throat. In the background, three young ladies lay on the ground. They were wearing ordinary dresses and the three girls had deep cuts on their foreheads while their hearts were being pulled out. Blood rolled down and their eyes remained open, but one could see that they were dead as well. In front of the skeleton-looking creature was a beautiful woman in a white dress holding a necklace looking at the skeleton-looking creature with a smile on her face.
