My Aunts, Uncle and Grandparents have taken over the parlour, sleeping there every night.
There is always an abundance of dirty dishes and pots in the sink, smudges on the cream titles and brown lumps in the toilet. My tall, doe-eyed cousin—Akeye— has the loudest snore, she keeps me up at night. Her plump, short sister—Ukwudi—always keeps her used sanitary pads on display in the sink and Gigi, a cousin from my father's side prays loudly all night long, binding and casting the usual demons.
