Craving the Wrong Brother
Every time my eyes met his, the smile on his face seemed to grow bigger, till he was full on grinning.
“Still can't find the page?”
“Everything's still all mixed up. Give me a minute more.”
“Righttt.” This time around, he chuckled and I closed the book. “You don't have to search anymore, I've been entertained enough.”
“You're an asshole,” I tried to glare but I could not keep the smile off my face.
“Your asshole at least.”
My heart skipped a beat. The smile on my face fell and the jovial atmosphere in the room seemed to cease. I dropped the book I was reading and cleared my throat as I stood up.
