Sofia’s POV I was deep in my painful sleep but the banging and rapid sound of the knock on door awoke me. The sound is thunderous and echoed through the house, vibrating heavily on the walls and sending cold shivers down my spine. I was uneasy, trying to arrange the pieces of my dream and puzzled about who could be banging on the door like that. I still managed to summon courage and immediately, without thinking twice hurried downstairs to go see who it was. I just hope he has not returned.

SOFIA I sipped my alcohol and looked at the very charming man before me. He was saying, "first things first, Sofia," he paused and continued, leaning in closer to ensure I understood the gravity of his words. "I need to brief my company on this new project. While I may be the head, I can't possibly handle all the groundwork by myself, you know. It has to be done step by step, I would have done it all, but we need help."

Sofia Russo dashed into the elevator, running late for work, she also needed to give a reasonable explanation why she didn’t show up for work yesterday, but the guards were aware. When she doesn’t find it, she shakes her head. "That’s not possible. Werewolves aren’t real."

Sofia’s POV On the drive toward the orphanage, Sofia sat in the back of the reinforced SUV, staring out the tinted window. A faint blush colored her cheeks as she replayed the morning in her mind—how she had seduced Luca, the way his strong resolve had crumbled under her touch, the possessive way he had pulled her back into bed afterward. He acts so tough, she thought, smiling to herself, but he can’t say no to me. The memory made her stomach flutter with warmth and desire. She also thought about the moment she said the word love.
