I looked away, suddenly feeling like I’d done something childish. My phone buzzed on the nightstand, cutting through the silence. Ava. I hesitated, then picked up. “Hey.” “You took my book, Sharon.” I blinked. “What? I thought you said I could borrow it.” “No. I said you could ask. You just took it.” I bit my lip. “I didn’t mean to... I thought it was fine.”

There was not even a single task their sages assigned them to do. Clara was humming to herself when her eyes spotted the red leather-bound book she stole in the hidden room beneath the redwood. Until now, she was wincing at the idea that she managed to steal a book that wasn’t hers. Over and over, she tried to console herself that she only borrowed it and would eventually return it once she was done.

Evelina pulled a book out of her bag that she borrowed earlier in the school library. BAM!!! "It is a book that records all supernatural houses. The ones that matter at least." My phone chimed. I fumbled for it, nearly dropping the stack of books in the process. The message was short and impersonal.

Directly ahead of us, towards the back of the clearing, Gray, Bo and Cordelia are standing just outside of Gray's tent, respectfully the biggest in the camp. Grayson and Bo are Iselyn and my fathers younger brothers. And even though Grayson is the youngest of the three, it was he who took over as Alpha when my father died. Usually it doesn't work that way. Usually that title and responsibility would go to the eldest. But the situation in this case was… complicated. Because it was Grayson who killed him.

ALEXA'S POV I turned to the employee and blushed as I was taking up the small path to the next shelves. "Sorry," I mumbled as I put the book back in its shelf and went to the clothes rack to buy a few items. I took a few tops and bottom, then made my way to the counter to see the same employee. "The book you held a while ago was from an old orphanage home, alot of people take that book with them but only to come back weeks later to tell me they don't want it," I chuckled along with the man and took my stuff to leave.

I placed all my things neatly inside a bag and put the bag on the bed. I took a deep breath and a looked around the room. It had been my room for years, so many years. I shook my head feeling foolish at my sentimentality, it wasn't like I was going far. I slouched back on the sofa in the living room, picking up a book from the table and flicking through the pages, I had read it before but I needed something to occupy my mind until my parents got back, otherwise I would spend the next couple of hours worrying.

I tiptoed, slowly walking towards the shelf, trying to hide myself and make everything quick before she wakes up. I scan, poke, and pick every strands of books just to find that special one. If i am not mistaken, it was the blue book i have accidentally choosen before, which the librarian knows it's prohibited. ### After scanning for a couple of minutes, I finally have found what im here for. This was the book I have held before. It is the one who's talking about parallel universe and portals. Before the dragon reawakened, I quickly run to exit. I look like a thief.
