’ I was slightly shocked to hear Shadow’s voice, but as usual her voice of reason within me with her calm and soothing voice washed my worries away and provided a solution to my problem. ‘You’re right Shade, thank you for that.’ I said gratefully, feeling much more at ease. Her melodious giggle rang in my mind which brought a smile to my face. ‘Silly girl, we are two halves of the same being. Just because I choose not to speak to you all the time doesn’t mean I’m not there. I trust you Allison and I trust that each and every decision you make for us is what is best for us.’ She assured me and words could not describe how elated I felt.

Willow applied pressure to her arm with a piece of paper while Roy gripped the steering wheel tight, his knuckles white. Sierra’s call came in halfway down the road, and she sounded panicky. “Roy, the candle we lit for Melanie in the church is flickering for no reason. I think it’s about to go out. Can you check it out? I’m worried.” Roy slammed the brakes and replied, “I’m heading back. We’re not traveling down the mountain tonight.” Observing the anguish look on Willow’s face, Roy changed his mind. He saw no reason to let Willow have her way.

I turned towards the Adam behind me frowning in his direction as I pointed at the guy before me, " Do you know him Sinister?" Sinister was not looking in my direction, but rather behind me. His orbs were on another level of darkness, and they looked dangerous.... Dead dangerous. His jaw was tight, and his neck muscles were popped up threateningly. From my blurry vision, I thought I could notice a slight furrow of his thick eyebrows, but I wasn't sure. He was still not looking at me, and at that, I turned back towards the man to see what he was doing . I gaped, wait….

He stammered. Shadow nodded. “I can listen to your song request, but not right now.” “Not now?” There’s a relief layer in that voice. Thankfully, Shadow was too busy looking at something to realize. She had already put her guard down with the rest of the crew, so she didn’t pay attention to them as seriously as other things. “Ah! Here they are.” Shadow exclaimed excitedly. “Sorry, uncle. I can’t entertain you. My squad has returned.” She immediately took off from the branch and jumped to the other one.
