The Dark soul

The Dark soul

Feeling something wasn't quite right she turned to Michael who remained impassive beside her. "Something look off about this to you?" Summer whispered leaning in close to Michael's ear. She couldn't get past the haggard looks of the men or their almost zombielike gaits. Slavery was a thing in their world, but she hadn't seen it firsthand. However, that wasn't what was bothering her. Rather, it was the almost lifeless aspect of the men working. Were they drugged to obedience? Frowning Michael narrowed his eyes, "Why would it matter?" He sounded bored as he spoke. "How the people here are treated doesn't concern us."

The Soul Swap

The Soul Swap

The boy seemed to misunderstand something again and quickly added, "You don’t have to worry about the money. I know you’re afraid to tell your grandmother—she’ll probably scold you. “Since I’ve been suspended, I’ve had a lot more time to take on part-time jobs, so I’ve got enough saved up." When he looked at me, under the glow of the streetlamp, I saw his eyes for the first time. They were strikingly clear, filled with sincerity, like brilliant stars in a quiet night sky. I could sense his genuine kindness and his respectful restraint. At that moment, I knew without a doubt that his relationship with Madeline wasn’t what I had assumed.

Caught in the Mafia net

Caught in the Mafia net

Sylvia loved money. As she sat on her chair, piles of Coins were arranged to form towers before her. There were quite a few Bronze Coin Towers, a couple made up of Silver Coins, and finally… … A Golden Coin Tower! Her face beamed with joy like that of a child playing with their favorite toy. Sylvia had dark ebony skin, black hair, and intense black eyes. They say the eyes are the windows to the soul, but Sylvia’s dark irises showed nothing, prompting many to call her soulless.

Dreamy Eyes

Dreamy Eyes

"Open your eyes, I want to see in those deep dreamy eyes, my beautiful." Slowly she opened her eyes , they were full of love and want. A soft chuckle left his throat, seeing his shy girl turning into a tigress . Then once again he commanded her to touch herself. She never wanted to leave her grip over her friend yet she tried touching herself rolling on the bed. Seeing her like this he was getting harder, not able to stay apart he quickly grasped her hands and then entered into her slowly and slowly coaxing her. The doors were opened yet too small for a huge entry, beads of sweat were forming on the forehead. He said, " want me to come in", she nodded , he said, " it's going to hurt a bit bu

The Last Piece of my Soul

The Last Piece of my Soul

Everything disappeared from my sight, leaving only blinding white light, which scorched my eyes. ‘’You are being punished for playing with the power which should never be in human hands. Your hun* souls will be cursed, and you won’t be able to find peace. You will be cursed to repeat your miserable life while the other parts of your soul die in great misfortune unable to find happiness both in life and death.’’ The dread coming from these words was enough to make me forget the horrible pain. This sounded so familiar but, at the same time, so strange. I didn’t have time to think, though. The pain slowly disappeared together with the lighting, and somebody’s voice was floating in my mind.

I like it a lot. I’ve always liked a novel where our MC gets a second chance at life and is not completely OP. She’s completely traumatised from her first life but she’s still trying to survive. You write well and I can’t wait to read more

Its an amazing, intriguing story that keeps one invested in the meaningful words and engaging scenarios. Appropriate emotions have been beautifully conveyed by the author through her writing. Truly, a wonderful piece! Loving it and will continue reading further....!

 Linked Souls

Linked Souls

His knees began to give way little by little while the rest of his body sank little by little. No sound Everything was dark, no trace of life. It felt so lonely, so painful. He blinked his eyes open as he felt the water against his corneas. The images were blurred in front of her and a glass separated her from reality. Alisha hit the glass so hard with her little ones that her skin parted. The words were muffled by air bubbles escaping from her body. He recognized his father's tall, lean body behind the glass with a plaintive smile on his lips.

Wrong Pair of Eyes

Wrong Pair of Eyes

At the jaw and the dark eyes and the specific, complete attention of someone who had been paying attention since the second library session and had never once stopped. “Yes?” he said. “Yes,” she said. He held her gaze. Something moved across his face. She didn’t have a word for it. She’d never seen it before. Something entirely new. Something that was all the other expressions simultaneously — the real smile, the open version, the patient certain look, the grief-and-gratitude look, all of them at once — and then something beyond all of them. Something that was only this. Only now. “Whatever comes after,” he said softly.

The Golden Eyes

The Golden Eyes

When I go to stand back up to find somewhere to hide, I’m thrown backwards into a tree, hitting my head. I groan and let my vision come to focus. My head begins to throb as I sit up and I notice I am nowhere near the fight. A hooded figure comes to view, I try to stand but stumble from dizziness. The hooded figure gets closer and lets out a horrid screech. I start gasping as a blue wisp starts to come from my parted lips and I feel as if my energy is being drained. Right before darkness consumes me, I see those purple eyes with gold flecks.

Submission is Not My Style

Submission is Not My Style

For a fleeting second, hope claws at me—maybe the guard was wrong, maybe he’s only resting, maybe— But then I see his eyes. Not the emerald green I share with him, not the fierce fire I grew up both fearing and yearning for. His eyes are white. Empty. A ghost’s stare. Dark smoke coils around his head like a crown of poison. His skin is pale, stretched thin, the color of ash. “No…” My voice cracks in the air, raw and desperate. Beside me, Jack whispers, grief rough in his throat. “I think his soul left his body.” The words rip me apart. I scream, stumbling forward, reaching for him—but Jack’s arms lock around my waist, dragging me back against his chest.

Hook, line and sinker. I wanted to read just a paragraph and and next thing I find myself nose deep into this amazing and mysterious book. The way the author made the main character a defiant woman just tickles me in all the right places and I'm loving every chapter of it!
