In the ward, only white curtains stirred in the wind. On the desk lay a signed divorce agreement. Jason stood in the empty ward, crumpling the agreement. His assistant ran in, panting, his forehead beaded with sweat. "Mr. Smith, I already had someone suppress the news, but the audio recording is spreading rapidly." Jason took a deep breath, the panicked look in his eyes fading into condescension. "No need to look for her. Cancel all her supplementary bank cards. The Woods have been relying on their deals with Smith Group to keep their business afloat. She's throwing a fit because she wants me to drive Susan away."

Aunt Theresa walked me to security and stopped behind the barrier. “Call me when you land,” she said. “I will.” I passed through security and entered the waiting area alone. Boarding had not started yet, so I found a seat beside the window. Outside, runway lights blinked steadily through the dark. My phone rested in my hand. The number was gone now, disconnected, and Sebastian had no way to call me. Still, I made the mistake of opening an old social media account I had not touched in years. Notifications flooded the screen, but I ignored all of them until I saw the newest message request.

"You probably want to use the money to make Bruno cut ties with me! But I'm telling you right now—dream on!" At her words, I paused for a moment. Why would anyone still like such a despicable man? No wonder people online say jerks and gold-diggers were made for each other. Well, I had no desire to waste any more time with someone like her. Thankfully, the race was over. I saw Liam running toward me, excited to share the joy of winning third place. From the corner of my eye, I saw Raine get up and lunge at me despite her pregnant belly.

You might want to steer clear of that, Vincent’s women tend to be forward and determined.” Landon clenched his fists to restrain from lashing out at his brother. “Just have him check on it, okay? The circumstances seem a little suspicious.” Levi grunted. “Fine.” “I’ve got to go, Levi, but I’ll give you updates tomorrow. And don’t worry about me, I’m doing just fine.” Levi grunted. “Keep me in the loop. I will send Patrick again if you slack on your communication. We need to take the Arroyos down.”

I'm waiting once again, for the last time. Tonight determines what my future will hold. I'm finally doing it, I've been silent for so long, watching things unfold in front of my eyes and remain in the background. I'm a woman in love and I'm about to express all that's been within. I wanted things to be perfect and so I had some help from Joey, Mrs Davies and Alex, who would be informing us on their arrival. I'm nervous of course but I'm hopeful that tonight will have a good turn out. Something good will happen.
