A tightening at the tip of my stomach. I frowned slightly, shifting on the bed, trying to adjust myself as I pressed my palm lightly against my stomach. “Maybe it’s nothing…” I murmured under my breath. But then... It came again. Stronger this time. A sharp pull that made my breath hitch slightly. I sucked in a slow breath, my fingers curling into the sheets beneath me as I waited. I waited for it to pass, and it did. But suddenly, it occurred to me what was happening.

My stomach made a sound that's a sign that I'm really hungry that annoyed me so much. "I'm listening to the stomach now. It's not a liar." He said before he drove his way to the nearest drive thru that his eyes laid onto. "Whatever." I said and rolled my eyes. "You know? I don't really understand you. There's these times that you're so good to me and then suddenly, you'll change your mood and get mad at me." He said with his brows creased while still paying attention to in frony of him. "And then now, I'm trying to be good to you, you're being so grumpy. Tell me, do you have a mental disorder, Ma'am? You need a check up or what?" He added while still with his creased brows.

His tone left no room for argument, but I just continued to stare at the wall, refusing to acknowledge him or the food that smelled so good I could almost taste it. "I'm not hungry—" I started to say, but my words died in my throat as my stomach let out a loud, rumbling growl that echoed through the quiet room – an unmistakable sign that I was starving, and that my body was done pretending otherwise. Of course it had to happen right then. The sound was so loud I was sure the neighbors could hear it if there had been any nearby.

I felt my mouth opening up by itself and before I could answer , we both hear a vicious and loud growl. My eyes grow wide , my cheeks flush a hot crimson shade and I close my hanging mouth. His eyes that was filled with fury a few seconds ago , now is staring intently at my stomach. It seems as if he is trying to convince him self that he heard my stomach growl pretty loud , but also having a fight battle while his mind tells him it is in his imagination. “F – food…” I stutter , answering the question to which he asked me before my stomach growled the answer.

His eyes widened at that, but before he could drown me in another round of fear and guilt, his stomach chose that exact moment to let out a loud, traitorous growl. The sound cut through the tension like a blade. My brows shot up, and I couldn’t stop the corner of my mouth from twitching. “But first,” I said, tilting my head toward him, “we need to stop that stomach of yours from declaring war on the entire neighborhood.”

Immediately she did that my eyes shut open as I picked the scent and my stomach growled loudly. It was so loud that I never thought it could even growl like that. Immediately it did she laughed together with her maids they were enjoying my reaction. I tried but I couldn't hold my stomach from making noise. I was already trying not to show signs of wanting to grab it all to myself. She brought it closer and my stomach responded, I felt like opening my mouth just so I could get it even if it was the smallest of bites but then she withdrew it back to herself.

His stomach… It kept making a noise that I could not understand. As I watched the giant's eyes widen and his stomach rumbled, he began to slowly back away while holding me. My brows furrowed in thought as I puzzled through what was happening to him in this moment of such importance. Uncertainty shrouded us both as he nervously glanced around, unable to comprehend the sound which continued to echo throughout the room. His gaze then shifted back towards me as if expecting an answer, however I could only give him a stare of curiosity.

he says calmly as we walk on the footpath. “Uh…,” my stomach rumbles before I can say something. I instantly yank my arm from Zack’s and clutch my stomach with both of my hands. My eyes widen as I stare at the ground, and my face heats up when the growling gets loud enough for Zack to hear it. He pauses and faces me, looking up and down. “Mhm…,” I clutch my stomach harder because it just wouldn’t stop growling. “Sorry,” I murmur. I can feel my ears burning out of embarrassment.

Every memory, every regret clawed its way to the surface, whispering in my ear, refusing to grant me even a sliver of mercy. Silence wrapped around the room, thick and heavy, suffocating in its stillness. But even in that quiet, my body betrayed me. My stomach growled—low, guttural, desperate—the sound bouncing off the barren walls like a taunt. It wasn’t just hunger; it felt like something gnawed at my insides, like worms tearing through flesh, devouring the fragile lining of my stomach, clawing for anything—anything—to fill the hollow void.

His brows furrowed, and for a brief moment, his eyes flickered with irritation—before quickly morphing into something colder, darker. But before his anger could fully surface, a low rumble interrupted the tense silence—my stomach growling audibly. I froze, feeling my cheeks heat up in embarrassment. My body was betraying me, reminding me of my vulnerability. I pressed my hand against my stomach, trying to quell the hunger that had been gnawing at me for days. I hadn’t eaten anything substantial in what felt like forever, and the emptiness inside me was starting to feel unbearable.
