Stomach Growl Novels & Stories

I can handle this on my own. But as I sit there trying to read the same paragraph over and over again, I can hear laughter coming from downstairs. Loud, genuine laughter, like they’re all having the best time together. It makes my chest feel tight with loneliness and anger. My stomach starts growling, making these embarrassing rumbling noises that echo in the quiet room. I try to ignore it, but it just gets louder and more insistent. I haven’t eaten anything since this morning aside from the hangover soup, and my body is starting to protest.

Maybe I just need coffee. My stomach grumbles at the thought of food. Maybe I can go make a sandwich. Eating should wake me up and shut my stomach up at the same time! Sounds like a plan to me! The grumbling of my stomach a second time in 5 seconds makes my mind up for me. I need to eat. It's been a few hours anyway. Actually, I really can't remember when I ate last... I might've skipped lunch when I was studying at school earlier... I get up and stretch, bones popping back into place. My body aching from inactivity. I think my feet are asleep... The tingles are running up my legs. Dammit! I hate that tingly feeling.

The glow coming from the stop was illuminating my profile as well and I couldn’t help but keep staring. “No problem,” My sister seemed happy, “I’ll let her know! I’ll send you her number too.” “Alright,” I ended the call and let out a sigh which was followed by a loud growl. A very loud growl. It came from my stomach, not only startling me but also embarrassing me SHIT!!!! I grabbed my stomach and looked around to see if anyone heard that in embarrassment. People crossing by did glance at me and that made me self-conscious even though no one said anything.

’ “Anyways, work faster. You still have a lot of work to do. “ With that, he left laughing with his people. One man even looked at me like I had two heads. Some minutes after they left, my stomach began rumbling loudly. I tried silencing it but it merely became worse, aching so hard that I couldn't stand anymore. I could feel my intestines getting entwined with each other because of lack of food to process. "Ahhh!" I screamed to myself as I try to alleviate the pain by massaging my stomach. "Please, please, please. Not now dear stomach, please endure this one." I pleaded to my own stomach while trying to look for some leftover food.

Sally hurriedly said, "I didn't eat much at noon so I’m a little hungry right now. That’s why my stomach growled a little. Don't be surprised, Ms. Blue." Upon hearing Sally's words, Jules rolled her eyes with displeasure. "How can you just think about food at a time like this?!” "Growl——!" There was another loud noise. Sally smiled embarrassedly again. "Ms. Blue, this isn’t happening because I’m thinking about food. This is a normal physiological reaction. I can't control it." When he heard what Sally said, Elijah frowned slightly and glanced at her gently, "Why don't you go downstairs and eat something? I’ll get Jameson over to take care of Wren.”

I decided to eat when my stomach growled noisily. Just as I touched the spoon, I blacked out.

The growl was so loud that even if Finn had stayed a few feet away, he would have still heard it. Ethan froze. For someone like him who had never seen food as anything special, stomach growling was something that had never happened to him. He looked at the food again, and his expression slowly turned complicated...

To never feel alone. My chest tightened unexpectedly. Then— [GRRRRRRRRRRR~] The sound echoed through the room. Mortifyingly loud. My entire body froze as my stomach growled nonstop. Elijah stared, a little bit surprised. And I stared back at him, feeling the shame creeping up to my face. Neither of us moved. Then another growl erupted from my stomach. Even louder this time. I wanted the floor to swallow me whole at this moment. This is so embarrassing!

My stomach suddenly growled, and I looked around to make sure no one heard it. "Whenever I'm hesitating which one to follow, whether it's my heart or mind... I always listen to my stomach."

Good thing there is more to stop my stomach from growling because of hunger. Whatever!
