Not like she was supporting the enemy which was actually Clara and Kieran, but they were kicking some home world butt. “And you got it” Ronnie said and she didn’t like her tone. “You’re lying”. “Not like I care or anything, but Supernaturals are dying. Just a reminder”. The seal was close enough to what she saw. She had seen it in her mind and it was close. The wings were on her back now and Ronnie had a smirk and Danny grabbed her by her wrist and she was glowing purple. “Like hell I’ll let you out of my sight”. And they made their way to the battlefield. She had arrived just in time to see spinning death going towards every soldier. The power alone radiating off of it scared her. But she d

I immediately traded the fruits for the cocoa. "Your mother and I were close when we attended the academy, Le Royal Academy for nobles, royals and knights. Well that was the old academy," Kylen began to explain, his eyes downcast and his gaze afar. "The new academy is called Elverton and it accommodates all," Shane picked up where his father left off. "Its a place where young supernaturals who can't control their abilities or those that are too different to attend human schools or colleges attend. You can also choose to attend with any special circumstances because as I said before Elverton accepts all," Shane spoke passionately about the school. So passionately, I swear he was trying to get

Alone at Blood Moon Academy is just alone with better architecture. What I'm not used to is the staring. They're subtle about it, most of them. Quick glances that slide away the moment I look up. Whispered conversations that stop just long enough to be obvious. But every supernatural in this room can feel my magical signature the same way I can feel theirs, and mine is wrong in a way that makes their instincts itch. I open my notebook and start reviewing my morning classes. Combat Theory. Supernatural History. Pack Dynamics and Modern Law. A full schedule with no partners, no study group, no assigned seat that isn't already surrounded by empty chairs. Draven's work is thorough. I'll give him

Her voice cracks, the last word spat like a challenge or perhaps a prayer. She thinks of the stories in the group chats and the cautionary tales whispered in Omega support groups: bright, ambitious girls who show up at freshman orientation, only to vanish midway through the first semester. Some reappear years later, glazed-eyed and pliant, their academic dreams replaced by a different kind of purpose. Most don’t come back at all. Lyric's mother warned her every summer—never trust an Alpha in a confined space, never fall asleep with the door unlocked, never believe that your bond is stronger than your ambition. But no warning or suppressant regimen could have prepared her for the reality of i

"Instead of burning it down entirely. That was the braver choice, I think. And the more dangerous one." Across the yard, Cassia stood alone now, her father's carriage already rolling toward the gates, and for the first time since Sera had arrived at Ember Academy, something other than cold amusement lived on Cassia's face. Something closer to fear. Because for the first time in a thousand years, watching a fire mage stand unbroken and unleashed in the center of their own academy, the old order finally understood what Sera had always known, somewhere underneath the terror of the last three weeks. They were afraid of her now.

Nervous laughter rippled through our section, quickly dying when we realized she wasn't joking. "Tomorrow, your real education begins. Tonight, you will rest, acclimate, and prepare yourselves for what's to come. A word of warning: Crimson Moon Academy rewards strength, cunning, and adaptability. It has no patience for weakness, stupidity, or defiance. Choose your path wisely." She sat back down, apparently done with her welcome speech. Conversation slowly resumed, though more subdued than before. "Not survive?" Sophie squeaked. "What does she mean, not survive?" "It's just intimidation tactics," Jenny said from further down the table, though she looked pale. "They're trying to scare us into

It was supposed to look abandoned to keep curious humans away but that never works, so the entire school is under a cloaking spell of some kind. I let out a defeated sigh and make sure my hoodie is pulled over my face, before trudging along the walkway into the academy. As I enter, my eyes catch sight of white and black feathers. Tears fill my eyes and my hand flies over my mouth to stifle a sob. Julie quickly rushes to comfort me. She puts her arms around me, careful to not touch my back. She shushes me quietly, and I try to stop the tears from escaping. "It's alright Luciana, everything will be fine—they’re just like you," she says in my ear. "No they're not, they have wings."

Two hours later I’m liking the move, I go for a bathroom break and head to the kitchen to see if I can get some snacks. After asking Ms. Pat she was happy to set me up with lots of them fr

Oh please, they call it anything but the mad house. “Oh sweetie.” Ansel, my cheerful father, placed a kiss on my forehead. “I’m sure it isn’t bad, at all.
