The title said 'The Fault in Our Stars'. "I think you'd like this one. But don't get your hopes up..." Caleb smiled. I held the book to my chest and thanked him. Getting my hands on a new book is something close to magical for me. I finally bid Caleb goodbye, and the next thing I know...the shotgun seat of the truck was right in front of me. Dom went out and held the door open. I mindlessly entered the vehicle while holding the book, reading its sypnosis. I could feel Dom's cold stare linger at what I'm holding before he went back to the driver's seat.

Rainn I sat at my desk with my head in my hands. My office was trashed, my desk now broken in half. It’s been two weeks since Adalyn and Elodie went missing. That night I woke up out of a deep sleep with a feeling of dread in my stomach. I reached over but Addie was not in bed, her side was cold. I looked at the clock and it said 3:30 a.m. I got out of bed, threw a t-shirt and shorts on, and headed to look for her. She wasn’t in the bathroom, so I went downstairs next. The lights were on downstairs, the tea kettle was on the stove, and her tea was out but she was nowhere to be seen. I heard footsteps on the stairs and turned around to see Mercer. “Have you seen Elodie? I woke up and she’s no

She's someone I've never seen. I swallow against the lump in my throat. Where the hell did she come from? "Hello." She turns around, doing a three-sixty, looking for people. Suddenly, I realize how odd it is that she's wearing a white summer dress. It's late autumn in Maine. "The Silver Hunters are gone," the girl says. "You can come out now." My insides scrunch up tight. Something's definitely not right. The girl stands there for a minute longer and then she starts to flicker, like she's a projection of some sort.

orders the leader, Charlie, as more hunters appear in front of us. “Over my dead body,” says Aspen as he blocks the hunters view of us. “Gladly,” Charlie replies as their swords clash. I watch as Charlie and Aspen go head to head. I am so concentrated on the fight in front of us I don’t see the hunter that has snuck up behind me. “Maliyah,” Accalia cries out as a bullet enters my hind leg. I collapse and let out a whimper as I shift back. I can feel the poison of the silver bullet spread as Accalia cries besides me.

Not long after, Sandra arrived at the company. You were in my thoughts right now I said to her. She was sweating profusely. Hey, why are you late, I whispered to her ear. The bus I boarded broke down, she replied.Oh, you better go greet the manager I said. I almost forgot as she rushed to Mrs Clinton's office. She came back with a frozen face. That's why I hate having to go to her office, she exclaimed. I quickly covered her mouth. Ah, Sandra don't you know what you just did now. I know but our manager is damn frustrating.

she teases, but there is no real annoyance in her tone. “And you’re dramatic,” I reply, laughing. “So we’re even.” We head inside the mall, and what I expect to be a quick stop turns into hours of wandering from store to store, Susan talks nonstop, her voice rising and falling animatedly as she recounts every significant event that has happened in her life since we last properly sat down together.

To tell the truth, I would better be an ordinary girl in the earth than being a witch in Slateville who is captured in the home for nearly 16 years. Suddenly something caught my attention on my desk. I walked over and saw a book. It has a heading 'Slateville' on it and a note beside it. Dear Sydney, I know you always wanted to know more about Slateville. So I bought this book. It has a lot of information about this place. Today, I will come late at midnight. Stay in home-like every day. Bye.

“I think we’ve got a pretty chill mission this time,” said Rica as they sat next to each other on the couch, sharing a tub of ice cream, and watching the nth episode of some mystery crime series they found on N*****x. They were both in their pyjamas, as it was a weekend, and their faces were unrecognizable with the animal-patterned facial masks occupying their entire face. Rica’s hair was additionally curled around heatless curlers. “Right?” “Mhmm.” Anna unintelligibly hums in agreement, her mouth full of ice cream, her eyes glued to the screen. “That murderer’s quite intelligent,” she comments, her attention focused on the show.

“We only have to drive twenty-five miles. It’s a better option than staying here and getting attacked for the gold we found.” Last night, Jennifer had Jeffrey remove the boar’s bust that was over the fireplace. She thought it was creepy. As Jeffrey pulled the bust off the wall, a brown sack fell out of its mouth. Jeffrey had put the head down on the floor as Jennifer picked up the sack. It was full of gold coins. Jennifer grew up in Dallas, so she had heard the scary stories about the old Mosley Mansion and their fortune. She had thought all of it was a crock until last night.

Yeah, he'd learned to practice patience, but dealing with the police while they questioned Betty had just about driven him to the edge of reason. He opened the car door for her, holding her elbow as she climbed in. Daylight had waned, and the parking garage was dimly lit, the sound of other hospital visitors echoing through the cement structures. Betty listened for other things. Furtive footballs on the pavement. The click of a gun safety being released. The slide of fabric or the soft huff is a breath. Someone had tried to kill Dan just a few weeks ago, and there was no reason to believe that person would be content to let him live. The road went quiet as he stepped around the car. The soun
