I stutter and overthink the words I just spoke out loud. I should let it wash first of course. When I'm nervous I sometimes talk weird stuff and stutter all the time. I hate to show it like this.

I’m so nervous that my palms are sweating. Chris leans down and kisses the top of my head and inhales my scent, “Your heart sounds like you just ran a sprint, take slow breaths,” he encourages me as he wraps his arm tighter around me. I nod and focus on breathing in through my nose and out through my mouth. I wipe my hands on my pants to get rid of the sweat. “What if she doesn’t like me?” I ask nervously. “I find that utterly impossible,” he snorts. I look up at him quizzically. “Mei, you’re the sweetest thing to ever exist, anyone who finds a reason to not like you is certifiably insane,” he says, and I can tell he’s serious.

To annihilate me and keep his secret? My heart pounds against my ribs, each beat so loud and erratic it feels like it might burst. Sweat beads on my forehead, trickling down the side of my face, mingling with the remnants of the shower water. My hands tremble violently as I move, but I don’t stop. I can’t stop.

My heart beat rapidly, seeing that he was about to shift in front of me. "W-what are you doing trying to shift in front of me!" I shouted, eyes still closed. I didn't hide my nervousness in front of him. Following his entrance, I knew he was changing into his clothes based on what I was hearing. My chest rose and fell with unease. His presence was unwelcome, and his scent seemed to permeate every corner of the room as he entered. Being drenched in sweat, I couldn't help but feel self-conscious and embarrassed. I scolded myself for caring about his perception of me, my nervousness compelling me to take a few cautious steps back.

Nancy asked worriedly, but I smiled at her nervously and shook my head. "That's the way to the restaurant," He pointed in a direction for me, and without wasting another second, I rushed in the direction. My heart palpitated, my hands became sweaty, and my body became so hot that I started to sweat. "What the fuck is wrong with me? When did his eyes become so strong?" I mumbled nervously as I barged into the restroom and slammed the door behind me. Leaning on the sink, I stared at my reflection in the mirror. What the fuck is wrong with me? Again, I asked myself but couldn't come up with anything.

I could feel the heavy atmosphere just walking by. Now that I'm in the stands, waiting for the game to end so our match can start, my hands are sweating profusely. I try to dry them on the sides of my pants, but it seems a futile task as the nervousness is spreading through me. There's still one more quarter of this game, and I'm shaking my leg, almost biting my nails. They can't lose this game. I can't stand here. I'm too anxious for this.

“Ivy,” Digging my hand into my thigh as he called my name, I raised my head slightly to look at him, then glanced away again, fearing that if I looked too much, he was going to catch every lie I was trying to hide underneath. My tongue peeked out to lick my bottom lip, and I could feel the sweat already building at the back of my neck. That happened whenever I was nervous, plus the racing of my heart. “You're early,” he murmured.

After dinner, I entered my room feeling that I was about to suffer a slaughter. My hands were wet with sweat, no matter how much I tried to keep sweating under control by rubbing my palms against the thin shorts. The nervousness could almost exhale around me like a golden of my own, and I felt the slight hum on my knees at every silent step.

I could feel every limbs and joints even my bones shaking from so much nervousness I am feeling right now. This tight and thick clothes didn't help me ease this annoying nervousness I have in me. Rather, it just makes it even worst. I could feel every sweat flowing from my neck down to my back. Every hair in whole body are drenched in sweat. I feel so not and cold at the same, I'm not even sure why. Crap. Shaun, are you really this fucking coward? I've never been this nervous before. Even when I was applying as a history professor at Crescent Moon, not even a single finger trembled back then.

As he emerged, we rode the elevator down together in silence, my hands growing increasingly sweaty with each passing floor. During the car ride, I found myself rubbing my clammy hands on my skirt, my mind painting a vivid, embarrassing image of standing in front of everyone with a sweat-soaked skirt. I shook my head, scolding my brain for coming up with the silliest, most mortifying thoughts. I could feel Mr. Snow's concerned glance on me, and I knew I was radiating nervousness like a beacon.
