Terry Pratchett Talking Books Novels & Stories

"One time I read a book about time travel, and I knew what a paradox was. Miss Callie didn't even see it coming." Ava snorts into her juice. "And this time," Derrick continues, pacing dramatically like a professor, "I'm going straight to the back shelves. That's where they hide the real stuff. The books with dragons that don't smile. The serious dragons. The ones who eat armies." "What if they're out of dragon books?" Ava teases. He stops mid-stride, gasping. "Don't say that. That's illegal." I chuckle. "You sure you're not more excited about books than roller coasters?"

Crimson watched as I carried the chair in and set it beside her, "I'm going to join you in watching the egg for a while until Terry gets back." Crimson smiled, "I'd like that. But aren't you still tired?" "Only a little. I'd rather spend some time with you, though." Crimson and I then both sat down and started talking. While we were enjoying a conversation, Terry was just arriving at the public library. When Terry walked into the building, he stopped in his tracks for a moment when he saw the size of the library, "How am I meant to find a book on eggs in here? It's like a needle in a haystack."

I said as I waltz right into the room. " * Chuckles* If your talking about the dent on the brandy then yes, I have been busy. " Terry smiles as he puts down the notes and takes off his glasses before trying to get rid of his exhaustion by pinching the bridge of his nose. " Still does change the fact that you look like crap and should take a break. " " Thank you for sounding your concern in such a wonderful manner but I can't stop now! I'm so close." " Close to what? Reading finish all of Flames's notes?"

Terry grumbled. "Lu stated some thing about baking" I shrugged. "I'm going to investigate" Terry stood, walkinv unexpectedly out of the room. 'She does sound happy...' Brax noted longingly. It did not take long for Terry to storm back into the office, but he smelled oddly like dough. "Whatever you do do not go down there" Terry warned. "Why?" I asked curiously. "They're having a food battle and I bought caught in the pass fire" Terry complained and I burst out laughing. "I'm satisfied anybody thinks this is funny" he mumbled.

I swiped it on and put it on speaker since I was finishing some dishes. “Hello, this is Rae.” “Rae, this is Tyler Perry,” a voice said. “Ha-ha-ha, that’s funny, did Cynthia put you up to this? She’s quite the jokester,” I said ready to hang up. “No, it really is Tyler, I can put you on video chat if you don’t believe me. Look Cynthia gave me a copy of your book, and I have to tell you, I’m obsessed. I couldn’t put it down and I think your story is incredible.

We sit in comfortable silence for a moment, the weight of shared understanding between us. Then, Perry's face brightens. "But let's talk about something more cheerful. Are you a fan of Frank Herbert's Dune series?" My eyes widen. "You're kidding. I love Dune!" He grins. "A woman after my own heart. What about A Game of Thrones?" "Read them all, watched the show. Though I have to say, I prefer the books."

I glanced at Terrence when the stupid question came out for me. “It’s only half the size of my leg,” Terrence said, showing the wedges. “You are a giant, and I am a cute wolf.” I replied him. Terrence clucked in surprise then stroked my hair with a bang. I don’t know what makes him more talk and whimsy now. He made me laugh almost a few times before he finally offered to read me a textbook that I hadn’t read at all. Do you want to put me to sleep by telling me about that math subject matter? I grumbled to myself when Terrence actually picked up the tome.

He asked. Terrence looked around then directed Chance to open another cabinet where a notebook was present. “I am borrowing it.” and with that he disappeared in the living room. He opened some pre-recorded lectures about some concepts that were a bit difficult to digest. He studied for a while, losing track of time until he felt a knock on his back, “I gave you my ipad to watch some series, and you are studying”? Terrence was a bit taken aback. “Between, our jobs and our sex, I don’t get much time to study these days.” Chance mumbled. “Which reminds me, since I am already here, why not cover another day to our arrangement,” Chance smirked.

he said. “They did indeed.” “That’s great. It’ll give me some early background material. It’s been a bit thin on the ground so far.” Penny still regarded him with raised eyebrows. He got it in the end. “Devil’s Disciples? That a bit OTT.” Penny held the book out of his reach. “You’re enjoying this, aren’t you?” Alex asked.

Peter realises and goes running off to get her. We all just stand watching my mate suspended in the air, touching these mysterious books. Tilly comes rushing in with Peter. “Well I hate to state the obvious guys, but I’d say they are magic book” says Tilly as she slowly steps closer to the pile, to investigate the covers. “Can someone tell me about them?”
