The Abyss Gazes Also Novels & Stories

“Then we move forward, but eyes wide. Every shadow could be our enemy.” The ground beneath them trembled as they approached the gateway the spirit guide had revealed a massive arch of obsidian, carved with runes that pulsed with an otherworldly light. Beyond it lay the Abyss proper, a churning void that seemed alive, tendrils of black energy curling outward like reaching fingers.

The battlefield had become a graveyard of gods. Mountains burned beneath the fractured eclipse while darkness and silver fire clashed endlessly across the ruined land. Hunters fought shadow creatures among collapsing stone towers. Wolves howled through rivers of corruption. And beneath it all, the Abyss watched. That massive golden eye remained open beneath the cracked earth, ancient and patient, studying Lira and Kael with terrifying fascination. The King stood between them and the Abyss now. Protectively. Violently. Darkness spiraled around his massive form like a storm barely restrained.

The carcass of the Abyssal Leviathan disappeared into the pitch-black freezing waters above, taking the madness of the trench with it. At the bottom of the world, bathed in the soft, ancient luminescence of the flawless white jade gates, Caleb Blackwood stood motionless. The timer in his HUD was a relentless executioner: 69:40:12.

Or maybe I already am because of this girl I've been seeing in my episodes. "Come with me!" she said. "Where are we going?" I asked. "Do you want to know the truth? Follow me!" she replied. She's not a ghost. Well, not that I know of. She seemed normal to me. She's petite. She has long, ebony-black hair and white complexion and her cheek's a little chubby. The most remarkable thing about her is her eyes. When you look at her deep, mysterious brown eyes, no matter how saddened you're with this fantasy, a sudden feeling of calmness takes over you.

Now facing Ayo, he asked, “Are you not the girl from the assembly this morning? The one who told us the meaning of Nightingale.” “Yes sir, I was.” Ayo looked down at her feet. Though the giggles from her mates had subsided, she could still feel the intense heat from their stares. She tried as much as she could to avoid eye contact with any of them. Mr. Dammy noticed this and he tried making her feel better.

The miasma came crushing down towards the hole made by the eye of the maelstrom, the nightmare origins that were affected by the event were crushed by the sheer pressure of the miasma, the others that had escaped devoured those who were unfortunate as the abyss started to go back to normal. I watched as the abyss returned to its former self. The miasma was billowing like a cloud of black smoke. Screams, snarls and growls from different nightmare origins could be heard as the abyss slowly calmed down. And after a few minutes, everything was quiet once again.

My eyelids try to close with all their might, but I resist and slowly manage to open them, although everything is blurry, I see that I am on the ground, lying. When I close and reopen them, Azael's face appears in front of me, watching me with a frown, with his piercings and his black shirt through which his tattoos peek out and spread across his neck. But when I blink again, there is no sign of him. As if it was part of my imagination.

As we ventured into the heart of danger, the weight of our responsibility was ever-present, but so was our determination to protect our home. As we neared the Coral Canyons, an eerie stillness permeated the water. Our team moved stealthily, using the natural rock formations as cover. We were within striking distance of the outpost when Liora, positioned at a vantage point, signaled frantically. I swam up to her, and she pointed toward a shadowy expanse below. My heart sank as I realized the implications. The Abyssal Council had anticipated our move. Hidden beneath the sands of the canyon floor was a massive abyssal creature, bound in chains, its eyes glowing with a malevolent light.

I rested my tongue sticking it to the off of my mouth I let air huff out of my mouth. "I can see the river has become cold for you." He blinked his hand traced the phone and he placed a phone call while keeping eye contact with me. "Yes, she is here." He said over the phone. The Abyss was walled with several gates on an island, the sea smelled as toxic as ever from the constant release of the gas they were throwing into it. Suddenly I gave him the look that expressed displeasure after he called in my old friend, if would now be hard to cope with him around, Meredith, sighed and pulled me in with her.

"Mr. Snow, I have a favor to ask of you. If you agree, I can offer you a generous reward." "Oh?" He was intrigued. She hadn't mentioned this before, but now, she was asking for help. She was clearly impressed by his strength. It had to be an extraordinary matter. "Let's hear it." "I hope you can accompany me to Abyssal Deepsea." "Abyssal Deapsea?" Gideon repeated the name a few times. "Is that somewhere in Kitherglen?" "Yes." Winter nodded. Ajax interjected, "Mr. Snow, we know of it, too. Abyssal Deepsea is a treacherous marvel deep within Kitherglen—a bottomless chasm with raging seawater below. That's how it got its name.
