Hopefully today could be a relatively slow day so that I would not have to worry about doing work later before I make my way over to Alveric’s place. Alveric Valentine (P.O.V.) I sat there in awe as I continued to stare at the guardians. They were still in a trance like state but now they have both started to mutter incoherent words under their breath. Well…I thought they were muttering incoherent words, until I realized they were speaking Latin. Not just any version of Latin, but a long-lost version of it that has not been used in centuries. With multiple variations of the language, this version was solely spoken by the first Gods to ever roam the Earth looking for imperfections.

I asked, looking up at him. He looked at the pages of the book in concentration while I looked at him. I wondered what must be going through his mind as does his work. I lost my initial train of thought and found myself thinking about the last time we were together alone. The kiss we shared and how it made me feel. I imagined we would do it again this time on the kitchen counter when I heard him say something. “I'm sorry what?” I said, shaking my head to clear my thoughts. “It's the Theban alphabet. It's basically Latin but from an ancient script for witches” he said passively.

I demanded as I pointed at it angrily. “Alpha, this is the only thing we could find that holds information about an Almega.” Almega, according to the book, is what an offspring of an Alpha and an Omega is called. “It’s a forbidden book and all copies of this was burned many years ago. This is the only book that was left, it took us years to learn about this book’s existence and to even have a copy of it,” Alek explained as he carefully fixed the book together. “That book!” I growled. “That book is filled with lies, no wonder why they wanted to burn it!”

It was a book - a very thick book with it's worn cover hinting at its ancient origin. "I'll be needing your help," Elke spoke with a breathless urgency. She thrusted the book into Sheera's arms before rushing to her table of herbs. Grabbing her mortar and pestle, she began pounding. "What is this?" Sheera asked, trying to open the book. Elke didn't respond but continued pounding. When it opened, Sheera discovered it was written in a foreign language. "The language," her brows gathered in a frown. "It's different."

A well worn, thin strip of leather hangs from the bottom of the book marking a page towards the back. When I turn to the page the air is sucked right out of me. My name in giant golden letters at the top, and the most beautiful, inked image of a wolf howling at the moon takes up most of the space. He sat down beside me and handed the book to me. I took it and the intricacy of the cover marvelled me all over again. I opened it and the picture stared back at me. It was my necklace. I looked at the necklace on my neck and stroked it's beautifully drawn picture. "This is about my necklace." "I know." I looked at the words but I couldn't read any of it. It was written in this weird language. "What does it say?" "That's the problem. I have no idea. I think it is a form of Lycan but a very ancient one. I have no idea what it says but I was going to ask a memeber of the council to read it to me."

He pulls out a thick volume. “This is written in the old language of the Empire,” He holds out the book to me, and I take in the details of the black cover “It’s the same language in which the holy book of the church was originally written, but not many people can read with without a dictionary, so it was translated.” I take the book from him “I should give it try.” I don’t want someone to try me on a whim and then fail spectacularly.

“And these are sacred things I cannot share. But I do not know what your power will be, if that is your next question.” It was, of course. “The visions are vague, and I must interpret them,” she adds. I nod. “Thank you for telling me this,” I say. “And for letting me read the tome. She went over to the desk and looked at the books. Most of them were in Old Nordmarian. Among them was an old journal. Ayla picked it up and used her tunic to clean the dust from the cover before opening it. Fortunately, the journal was written in the Common Language, and it belonged to a novice that studied in the Fire Monastery sixty years ago. He turned back towards the cupboard which was glowing. He opened the door. Between the clothes, something was shining as bright as a diamond.It was the book-- The antabulam. He picked it up and suddenly it lost all its brightness. He opened the book, the but he couldn't understand anything that was written "It isn't German either. Which language is this?" He said to himself. He felt dizzy as he looked at the book. "I should probably sleep" He said as he kept the book on the table beside him and fell on the bed.
