The city held its breath. Not a single screen flickered without purpose. Not a single drone wavered. Not a single Leviathan misstepped. Aurora Hale walked forward. Not fast. Not slow. Perfect. Every step measured. Every movement synchronized with the heartbeat of Atlas itself. Red light flickered in her eyes, deeper now, sharper. Behind her, six distinct presences aligned in the storm, each impossible to ignore: the six billionaires. Adrian Cross, closest and tethered, eyes wide but steady, mind racing to keep Atlas online without interrupting the singular flow of power Aurora had become.

I was sitting in silk sheets eating while Marcus was rotting and Theo was losing his mind in a hotel room. My phone buzzed on the mattress. I didn't have to look to know it was Theo. I didn't touch it. "I have to travel this morning," Atlas said, checking his watch. "Important work, even for a Saturday. I’ll be back before you know it." He leaned in close, his shadow falling over me. He didn't go for my mouth. He whispered right against my ear, his breath hot enough to make my skin crawl in the best way. "Stay home and rest. I want you recovered by the time I get back." He nipped my ear hard. "Because the second I walk through that door, I’m going to unravel you all over again."

He left Regina on the sofa while he grabbed some grilled sausages, tender lamb chops, and baked potatoes and returned to where Regina was sitting. "Baby, are you—" Atlas was stunned. His face turned deathly pale, and the plate he was carrying fell to the grass. "BABY! YOU'RE LEAKING!"

Their porcelain skin and their behaviors are enough for me to say that. They are kind and they help us look after our children if Sam and I have some errands to do. Atlas is 3 years old while Eve is only 1o months old. Shia and Gege became my friends as well. I was with Samantha sweeping outside while Eve was in the crib and sleeping and then Atlas was playing his ball. Atlas is so handsome. Not surprising because Samantha is gorgeous but Atlas looks is little different from Samantha. Atlas may have inherited his looks from his dad.

"A-Atlas?" The crowd was shocked. After all, Atlas was one of the Four Great War Gods of Salvania. Ignoring the surprised crowd, Atlas walked straight up to Sean. "My apologies for being late, Mr. Lakeworth. I was just reporting some matters to the higher-ups. " "It's fine," Sean replied with an unconcerned smile. "Mr... Mr. Lakeworth?" Once again, everyone was stunned. All eyes were on Atlas, who was showing Sean a lot of respect.

Hi readers! Just a quick update. As I know not all of you follow me on social media, I wanted to share this news here as well. There will be no new chapters from September 28–30. Don't Panic. Ashes of Six will return with brand-new chapters on October 1st! I know breaks aren’t fun, but this short pause will help me set October up for consistent updates and a strong push toward the finale. Weren't there Disney movies about things like this, where the evil CEOs cackled and took over entire cities for gentrification? ....Wait, no, she had forgotten that she wasn't as furious at Atlas anymore, after he had told her in the car that he'd simply done all that for spontaneous rather than premeditated, evil reasons. Damn. He was so confusing, always back and forth between cold and vaguely lukewarm and then cold again.

Havoc commented. Silence too over the ground, each of them looking at each other with confusion. A few second later, they all tensed up, making me wonder if they'd sensed someone coming our away. But instead of looking around, all six of my brothers settled their eyes on me. Some were narrowed and some were wide. "What?" I whispered, confused at their gazes. "It's him, isn't it?" Atlas asked before he cussed and walked away from us, going deeper in to the woods to get away from us.

I’d still want to talk to him about it more later, because he’d been loose with the details before and I hadn’t wanted to pry on such a sensitive subject. We exited the building the same way we’d come in and stood a few yards away when I began to sense energy pulsing from Atlas. His normally ochre skin was darkening as if it were being burnt from the inside out, but he didn’t seem to be in any pain. Instead, a glint was growing in his eyes. His hands raised just before he thrusted them forward. Dark flames that seemed black at first grew in size, climbing up the sides of the building. When the sun hit them, I could see hints of the forest-green color I was used to seeing in Atlas’s eyes.

He snickered openly at my scowl. "There are limited options, the former king was a big flaming peacock," I barked. Rubbing his chin, Atlas waved his hand over my front and mumbled a few strange words. He had changed the color and fabric of both the shirt and pants. Glancing down I grinned at the dark gray pinstripe dress pants and cufflinks on my tailored shirt. I stumbled a bit due to my overuse of hellfire. The overuse of my hellfire was catching up with me finally. Atlas offered me his wrist and I sank my fangs into his wrist to renew my strength.
