It had a picture of a wolf with a snowy mountain background. "This is Jack London's Call of the Wild and it's the one we'll read first. I mutter. "Okay I'm done but you got me hooked so you have to keep reading," she laughs, moving to sit beside me. I nod and skip ahead a few pages until I reach chapter one. I take a deep breath and start reading, my voice changing almost instantly. "My lungs burned with each panting breath as I sprinted across the rocky slope of the mountain. My body ached with fatigue and the landscape was starting to blur, but I kept pushing myself as the voices behind me grew louder. I stumbled a bit on the rocks, but immediately got up and continued clambering over the boulders.

But Logan had lost his balance and Casper had fallen from that height, resulting in a dislocated elbow and several other wounds. Casper had been his closest friend. He would have done anything for him. As he went through the book, he came across a chapter that talked about an ancient tribe of rogue wolves. All I could see were weeds growing all over the place. There was no sign of life there and I finally let go of the hands on my lips because there was no need. I was tired of my too creative imaginations, It was obvious that there was no sign of life here. I turned to go back and as I took the first few steps and then, I heard another howl, this one was louder and angry, I felt the hairs on my skin rise and good bumps sprouted all over my body, I shivered involuntarily I turned back immediately trying to trace the sound to the place it came from. It was strange how everything looked dry for miles and miles but i heard that howling again just now. I couldn't imagine such a thing twice right? I

It would all be over soon. Then, as her vision began to fade, she heard some horrible growling from all around her . . . from the back towards the alley and from the direction of the street. She saw her attacker . . . saw him staring first in one direction and then another. He snarled and tried to locate his dropped weapon. Then a . . . dog . . . jumped on him from out of nowhere, but it was bigger than any dog Jane had ever seen. And it seemed strange. . . bipedal. Then a second such animal impacted Jane's attacker, and she heard the man in the suit begin to scream. She saw two more such animals rush past her and head towards the alley. Turning away I slipped through the dog flap in the door and raced across the base heading to the top of the hill overlooking the bay calling on my Pack to follow. They slunk out of the shadows silver streaks racing behind me as we reached the hill top. I stopped and waited for them to catch up and fan out around me as I walked slowly to the very apex of the hill, standing alone the moonlight caught my silver fur and I glittered like a beacon. Ava threw up her hand to protect her eyes from the piercing brightness. Evidently, she went to bed without having closed the bedroom curtains. She pulled the covers over her head and rolled over to try to go back to sleep. “Campers! "Go outside!" Campers?
