Chapter 1 The moon hung high in the ink-black sky, casting an ethereal glow over the dense forest. Lyra, her russet fur glistening under its radiance, prowled through the underbrush with restless energy. Her amber eyes darted from tree to tree, scanning the darkness for any sign of danger. She was a wild creature, untamed and unyielding, but tonight her instincts were guiding her toward something more. As she ventured deeper into the woods, a tantalizing scent filled her nostrils—a scent that stirred a primal longing within her.

HAILEE. As I opened the letter from the person in charge, my eyes scanned the words that urged my immediate return to the pack. The urgency in the message sent a shiver down my spine, and I knew that I had to face the problems that awaited me. The following morning, under the cloak of dawn's embrace, I embarked on my journey back to the pack. Determination coursed through my veins, mingling with a hint of apprehension. I retraced the familiar route, my senses attuned to every sound and movement in the surrounding wilderness.

He shakes out his fur, licking his lips as he turns his head to the sky, the moon is climbing, he can feel its rags. So he howl, prompting a chorus of howls from the pack. ‘Calley,’ I call through mind-link. ‘Yes, alpha?’ ‘Run beside me, please?’ I ask. ‘Of course, is Lilith okay?’ She asks.

I'm no longer myself. In the midst of despair and insanity, I forget why I'm here, I forget where I'm headed. I recklessly charge through this land following my instincts. Suddenly, the ground gives way beneath me, and I lose my balance, plunging into the water with a huge splash. My thick fur becomes heavy after getting wet, and after a few attempts, I fail to stand up. I give up resisting, close my eyes, and let the swift current carry me to an unknown place. I don't know how long it took, but my consciousness began to blur, and a second before I fainted, I suddenly thought of something, snapped my eyes open, and shouted the name with all my strength: Charlotte Moore!!!

Chapter 2: Saved? *Claire* Fear gripped me so hard that it was getting difficult to breathe. Instinct had my eyes snapped open when a rogue crashed through the trees and into the little clearing I had planned to camp out for the night. “Shit!” Jumping to my feet, I cursed under my breath and started running for my life. He was large and covered in patched fur. His vicious eyes glinted in the dark, and he bared his teeth threateningly.

The dog sat on the threshold, raising his head, and howled. - Come on, stop it! You're not in the forest! - Anika exclaimed. - You're disturbing people's sleep. The dog looked at her with a pitiful look and raised his head again to howl. “Okay,” the girl sighed, realizing what he was trying to achieve, and let him into the house. The dog jumped into the house with a joyful look. “You’re a cunning one,” she said, narrowing her eyes, when the dog settled down on the rug in the kitchen. - Apparently, you lived in the house, right?

But she wasn’t sure if she had just stepped into a trap… Or set one. --- End of Chapter 1
