Now, she could not just sit and watch while her proud husband drifts slowly to the spirit world, she would not let that happen. It was over her dead body for something like that to happen. She kept looking at the duo, her husband and the family doctor, trying to know what he was thinking in his mind. Doctor Rachael, a forty-five year old lady, who had been working for them for the last twenty years, she had grown so attached to the family, that there was nothing about the family that she doesn't know. Every single detail about the family, she knows, unless she only wanted to let them have their privacy, then there would be no need of digging beneath to know more about them.

We all turned toward him at once. I moved first. “Doctor! How is my wife? What happened to her? I'm her husband!” The doctor raised his hand gently. “Please, calm down.” His eyes flicked toward Xavier and Tara. Then he looked back at me. “Can we speak in private?” I nodded. But I turned slightly toward him and said, “I trust these two. You can talk in front of them.” Doctor Harlan nodded, seeming to understand. The doctor gave a brief nod, then sighed. "Your wife fainted due to a combination of exhaustion and low blood sugar. It’s not uncommon, especially in women dealing with intense stress."

I’ve been to many hospitals but this hospital was different. My eye remained on the group of doctors passing in our direction. I was devastated as they passed us. The masculine scent was left in the air. I followed them with my gaze. Damn! How handsome those doctors are! They only look two years older than me but they look fresher than me! I turned in the other direction. There’s a handsome doctor again! I turned around, and there was a handsome doctor again! He was accompanied by a beautiful woman, based on what he was wearing, he was definitely a doctor.

Travis asked as soon as they were out of the door. “I don’t know Dr. Athena yet, but for Liora, man, she sounds really smart. When did she get that smart?” Felix asked, his eyes drawn in curiosity. I stared back at him, holding his gaze and almost getting lost in them but I managed to snap out of it and looked away from him. “Saying all this doesn’t change anything, I am no longer your wife and I do not wish to be anymore.” I said while trying my best to sound as emotionless as possible. “Are you dating that Doctor?” I was so stunned to hear him ask that, that I turned to face him sharply, “The doctor that I saw with you at the restaurant, Doctor Damien right? What’s going on between the two of you?” He inquired and I noticed his clenched jaw and his tight grip on the wheel as he waited for me to answer.
