She knew who was standing, and she could already feel the aura of his threats rallying around her even before he open his mouth. Lately, he seemed to be quite suspicious about her. He warned Rikas to be careful not to disclose any part of their training to her, but Rikas trust her more than anyone else. There is no secrets he can keep away from her.

Dave pointed at Justin. "Blue Prince is a compass for both of you. He will show you where to go," he added. A gust of cold wind swept through the valley, circling me in a spiral of dust and light.

Suddenly a voice behind Laura's back made her panic. "Where do you think you are right now?" Five people, including Conal, Azura, Reana, Phelan and Alfred, walked in front of Laura. She looked around in surprise; how did they get in here without making such a noise? Not only that, but she was also very surprised when Phelan and Alfred were also present. The water in the streets started to boil. ​“The City is reacting to the Codex!” Selene yelled over the sudden roar of shifting stone. “It senses the seal! We have to find the altar!” ​Laura stood at the center of the plaza, the violet light on her hand now burning bright enough to cast shadows against the gloom. She looked at Dave, who was barely conscious, leaning on her for support.
