The Fourth Wing Novels & Stories

They were also Raven Shifters, making them even more special in the Fafner Kingdom since 90% of our country's inhabitants hand four legs and no wings. I raised my hand and gathered a small amount of warmth around my palm and fingers, creating a thin glove of flames that I pressed against my brother. I splayed my fingers and wiggled them through his fur, adding a little pressure when I finally reached the roots and the heat of his skin. Staring at the dancing flames that harmlessly brushed by his dark brown pelt, I focused on my connection to my twin, envisioning a bridge in my mind that connected me to him.

At that, Gwen tried to open her eyes to see what she was pointing at, but she was laden with fatigue. “What does it mean?” “As she got her powers thanks to the goddess of the dark, it’s no surprise that her wings would be dark. It’s to show a clear distinction between her and the people of the Enu realm. “Her wings though,” Tyron said, his voice weird. “They are medium sized.” “And so?” “People with this kind of wing are part of the middle class. It means she has the same powers as them. Would that come to affect her when she is fighting the supreme Lord?”

The four-winged creature screeched sharply before diving toward him once more, intending to finish him off completely. The injured warrior closed his eyes. Perhaps he had already accepted death. But just as the creature approached— Something strange happened. The bird creature suddenly froze midair. Then— Two of its four wings dropped to the ground. Purple blood sprayed from the severed stumps, dyeing its dark body. The creature released a shrill screech of agony and panic. It desperately flapped its remaining wings, trying to escape into the sky. But before it could even rise properly— Thud!

Kyren’s wings wrapped around me like a shield. The Tear Drop cracked with light shattering across the chamber, and the final verse of the seal carved itself through me. “Four will hold the fourth, born queen. Four will bleed to keep her seen. But one unseen will break the chain And crown her with the final pain.” Pain tore through my chest. The boys closed around me in a rush of arms, wings, claws, and magic still holding me together when the seal tried to tear me apart. And then— Silence.

But speaking of which, she asked, "How in the world is he able to carry the wings then if they weigh as much as you said?" "His real power, of course." He pointed up for her to watch. Megan looked just then and saw that after a while of the drone assault, Adolf's wings had begun to glow very bright as the rainbow waves weren't just at the edges now but running erratic throughout the surfaces; and then, he released them.

Mane had just employed one of those many moves: Exploding Wings. Mane’s mumble was the trigger for the huge fiery wings that grew on his back. The wings were several dozens of meters long and several meters wide. When they appeared on Mane’s back they rose high into the sky, and flapped rapidly. Yet their beating didn’t lift Mane up or take him into the sky. With the beating of those wings, the cry of a Phoenix filled the ears of all who were here, and several large flames descended upon the retreating goblins, burning them all to a crisp. The fire was stronger, completely eliminating the goblins in less than a second.

Ren asked, his voice low. "Two thousand," Leo (Tank) replied, walking beside him. The giant wasn't wearing his Juggernaut armor today. He was dressed in standard urban fatigues, his massive frame taking up most of the aisle. The heavy, stitched scar across his left hand was a stark reminder of the mud they had crawled out of. "There are four more wings just like this in Sector 3. The Ministry didn't just ban them, Ren. They harvested their bodies to test long-term neural suspension." At the central monitoring station at the front of the ward, Kara (Jinx) was hard at work. She had a direct Hardline established with the newly conquered Apex Spire.

“The stronger the wolf, the more mates they can sustain bonds with. Four mates means you’re much more powerful than anyone knows.” Despite the indignation that coursed through me—having a fourth mate felt like a curse, not a blessing—part of me was curious about what this mysterious fourth mate might be like. Was he another cocky asshole like Lucas? Another brooding jerk like Rowan? Or something else entirely? But mostly, I just hoped I never ran into him. Three mates were already more trouble than I knew what to do with. “Can we continue training?” I asked. “I want to get stronger so I can figure out how to deal with the Elders.”

Ravi slammed the door behind him and was startled to find Adrian floating by the window, his wings flapping, hands folded across his chest, wearing a smug expression. He knew all too well that this creature was the one responsible for the chaos Ravi had just experienced. Ravi quickly moved to the window, fists clenched in anger, a sharp gaze directed at him with disapproval. He opened the window with a loud creak. "You're the problem here."

Four soldiers marched up to the Wingeds and each seized the Winged male and female by a wing and dragged them like how one would with a floundering hen. "STOP THAT AT ONCE!" a voice like rolling thunder came booming from a distance. Several flashes of light zipped through the air and stopped. In just the blink of an eye, they had come. Four Wingeds, each beautiful and handsome warrior clad in light armor, their wings flapping gently but yet with such force that everyone could feel the strong gales sweeping by. They beheld the corpse of Mo Yu coldly and when they saw the arrested Winged couple, their eyes blazed with rage and malice.
