“Oh, dear Lord,” Agnes said.
Codd was lying supine, head tilted back as though fast asleep, yet his eyes were wide open. Also agape were his fat, red lips and from both his sockets and his mouth the billowing green flames flew into the air, writhing on the ceiling, flowing out through the open window.
“We’ve found The Green Man,” Maud said.
Dennis shook his head, his face grim. “How’d we stop it?”
