“You’ve survived worse reactions than a few opinions. This time, you’re in control of the story. That’s the difference.” I smiled, feeling my heart warm. “You’re right.” “I usually am,” he teased, earning a soft laugh from me. Weeks turned into months, and the memoir took shape—fifteen chapters, a prologue, and an ending that still didn’t feel final enough. I called it Unraveling Grace. It wasn’t about perfection or redemption. It was about being real. About the way we fall apart and piece ourselves back together. About love that hurts and heals at the same time.

Haliyah spoke out of blue while she pushed me a little. "Uhmmm... Nothing. It's just that it is hard for me to forget my parent's death," I answered truthfully as a smile lightened my face when my mom and dad flashed inside my head. "You know that we will always be with you, right? Because we are sisters. And sisters don't leave each other," Haliyah answered ensuring me. Haliyah has always been a warm-hearted woman, she could be a light to anyone, just by being with them for a short period of time.

~MELISSA~ I could still remember it, when I just started reading the book, each time Isabella mentioned her other half, I thought she was referring to Desmond. But after finishing it, I came to realize that the 'other half' was not her lover but her sister who had passed away at birth. Well, it looked like that sister was me. Everything else had begun to make sense as I read back to the things she said about being separated at birth and how much of the other things she wrote to me.

Amid cheers, Michael stepped onto the stage, his voice steady and cool. "Last year, I got into an accident and lost my sight completely. I'd like to thank someone. I stammered, losing my stamina. "A decree was passed by your grandfather that the half-breed child be killed. I took some steps back as she slowly walked towards me, sheer pains in her eyes.

She nodded. “Yes.” I pulled my hand back slowly. “So I just live with this?” I asked. “With half a life?” “With peace,” she said. “For a little longer.” I stood up. “I told you I almost died last night,” I said. “Because of memories I don’t understand.” Her face crumpled. “I know,” she said. “And I hate myself for it.” I turned toward the window. The sky outside was grey. London grey. Heavy and quiet.
