Haunted by Office Things

Haunted by Office Things

Everyone froze, stunned. Adam jerked his head up, tears still clinging to his cheeks. "What did you say? How could there be no one inside?" The police stepped aside, signaling for everyone to look into the elevator. There were indeed dark red stains at the bottom, but there was no body. "That's great. No one was hurt." "Thank God. That girl must be incredibly lucky." "If there was no one inside, then what was all that blood?" Adam and my coworkers exchanged puzzled looks.

In Bed With My Billionaire Boss

In Bed With My Billionaire Boss

The lie tasted bitter because the truth was I hadn’t stopped immediately. I had searched for months or maybe a year. But Adeline has disappeared. No address, no workplace and no phone number. It was as if she had vanished from existence. Eventually, I gave up. Life moved on or at least I convinced myself it had. “You’re thinking again,” Mira said. “I have work.” I replied “You always have work.” “And you always talk too much.” I said and she laughed. “Fine. Call me later.” I grabbed my car keys and headed for Hartley Corporation. The drive took twenty minutes, but my mind was elsewhere.

OWNED BY THE TYRANT LYCAN KING

OWNED BY THE TYRANT LYCAN KING

"We just need to get out of the open. We’ll find a place to hide together. A hollow log, a cave... anything." "Hide?" A sharp voice cut through the dark from just behind us. Even though I couldn’t see her face clearly, I knew it was Mirabel. I would recognize that sneering tone anywhere. "That’s your big plan, Adeline?" She chuckled and stepped closer. "You three really think hiding like scared rabbits is going to save you? If you had a single wolf between the three of you, maybe you’d have a real chance at surviving the night. But no, you’ll probably just trip over each other in the first five minutes and serve yourselves up on a silver platter."

The Surgeon's Ghost

The Surgeon's Ghost

He lunged for the bathroom to make himself throw up, but a sharp, searing pain had already erupted in his gut. "You crazy—" He gasped, barely forcing the words out. But Adeline just kept smiling—a cold, empty smile. She picked up the fruit knife from the coffee table and plunged it into his chest. Over and over. "Anyone who toys with a true heart deserves to die." When her strength gave out, she collapsed to the floor, sobbing. Dark, blood-red liquid spilled from her lips as she opened her mouth. Then she fell still. Her eyes stayed open, staring at nothing.

CHRONICLE OF LOVE

CHRONICLE OF LOVE

The Butler said, shoving his hands into his pocket. Yes, that's right. Zach said and glance at his wrist watch. All this while Adrian's eye never left Roxanne's. She looked fearless and daring. Miss Not Scared At All; he chuckled inwardly at the name. Adrian..the lady is getting nervous and all because of your gaze. Zach teased and the man throwed a deadly glare at him, making Zach shut his mouth. **************** The lady started their journey to the Zoo once more. Their thoughts were filled with the two handsome but strange men.

The Mourner's Cradle: A Widow’s Journey

The Mourner's Cradle: A Widow’s Journey

One of Damon’s favorite theories, Anne recalled, was that the Mourner’s Cradle had been a graveyard. Why had he been so captivated by it? Shouldn’t the Mourner’s Cradle be something more than just a graveyard? Shouldn’t there be something besides this pit of bones and the silence that filled it? She didn’t know. She remembered the camera and reached into her pockets for it, but was stunned to find it in pieces, destroyed by the fall. Anne paced. She studied the walls, the areas where the ceiling dipped lower and where the higher reaches extended up toward the light of the surface. Below, from among the pit’s many, many bones, a vacant skull grinned up at her.

The Rejected Alpha

The Rejected Alpha

Although that could be because I'd almost cleared my plate. I cleared the remaining contents of my plate into the trash and just went ahead and washed it. I dried it with the dish towel and placed it in the cupboard. Then I sighed and turned around. And he wasn't there. I just barely caught a glimpse of him going up the stairs. The moment my eyes landed on him he paused. Which I found strange. What completely creeped me out was when he entered my head. Goodnight Adriane. If I had still been holding the dish I would have probably dropped it but luckily I wasn't holding anything, except the little bit of sanity that I still had left, which I still dropped and lost that night after his statemen

Currently at 124 Chapters 2023 September 6. I heard the book was abandoned but i hope not. The author left a note in chapter 116(?) saying her book was stolen but that she is editing it and finishing it. Fantastic writing style. I hope the author continues.

The Alpha King's Labyrinth

The Alpha King's Labyrinth

Reaching back into the recesses of my mind, I search for Adeline. 'Adeline,' I whisper weakly in my mind. 'I am here,' her voice and presence is weak within me. 'What happened?' I ask her hoping that she remembers more than what I do. 'I don't know,' Adeline's voice is fading softer and softer. 'But I feel myself fading away.' 'Adeline,' I call out in my mind as loud as I can but there is no response. 'Adeline,' I whisper again but she is gone.

I love this Author. She tells a story well. it is always annoying when I'm reading a story that seems the author is retelling the same thing through each character ( their POV), but I feel it's just another way to make money🫤. Anyway, thank you for telling the story well, keeping me interested
Traci Williams
This story was a welcome twist on werewolf romance. Well written. Engaging characters. I still have questions about Alexander’s continued use of the dungeons, but I’ll let the readers figure that out. Otherwise great story!

My Luna, My Son, My Regret

My Luna, My Son, My Regret

Kaden’s eyes glazed over as he mind linked his men, and half of them took off with Dylan’s corpse. When I glanced back at the tree where he was laid against, I could see no trace of whatever transpired left. It’s as if it never happened. Even the scent vanished when they took away his corpse. Then, I felt Adeline grow uneasy. “That feeling earlier…” she reminded me, “I’m starting to think it wasn’t Colton that we sensed earlier…” she spoke. I raised my brow at her, “What are you suggesting?” I could feel Adeline’s contemplation, going silent for a few moments.

Love the story, writing was intense and keeps the storyline moving. I just would have like to have seen the family reunion. Overall amazing writing but be ready for some intense scenes that can trigger some of you. Happy reading!

Needs a little editing, but still really interesting. The author has a way of storytelling that helps you fully immerse yourself in the story. The FMC is the typical weak to strong, but the story has tons of potential. I hope the writer doesn't intend to rely on clichés/tropes.

Taken (#2 The Southern Werewolves Pack Series)

Taken (#2 The Southern Werewolves Pack Series)

“I asked him to tell me some stories because he’s good with that. He was telling me about a friendship between a young boy and a dog. Stefano ended the story by telling me that the dog died. So, I cried because the story was so beautiful, and he just gave a terrible ending.” Clavier laughed. “That’s Stefano we all know.” Adeline laughed again, but it wasn’t her usual laughter. Like something was bothering her mind. That night her appearance was rather unusual too. She was wearing a blue dress, and her blonde hair was tied behind her. And she didn’t carry the usual leather book with her. She never left that book anywhere. Not even Stefano could take it from her. “Are you alright, Adeline?” Cl
