Sarah POV We were excited and trying to hide it. We weren’t being very effective. Last night, I had read yet again from The Little Mermaid. “She was a strange child, quiet and thoughtful. While her sisters showed delight at the wonderful things which they obtained from the wrecks of vessels, she cared only for her pretty flowers, red like the sun, and a beautiful marble statue. It was the representation of a handsome boy, carved out of pure white stone, which had fallen to the bottom of the sea from a wreck.”

“Can you like, show me? What you mean, when you think of a mermaid?” I glance at Anton and then put my coffee on the table and move closer to Laila, conjuring a children’s story book in my hands as I do. It’s one of my favorites from when I was a little girl – a story about a mermaid who falls in love with a Prince who lives on land. She gives up her ocean life to go and live at his side.

He had peed on his clothing and was trembling all over. "You saw me, little boy." She grunted. It was not a question, more like a reminder. He managed to mutter "Snake" with tears filling his blue eyes. His mermaid figure was in the grasp of his tiny fingers. She prepared to attack the young kid as her lips pulled up into an evil grin. Hariel is still busy with his work and didn’t see what Milo saw.

'Eretia Jones was buried in the sand. Knox flipped through pages in the diary. 'I love him. Who? Oliver Scott or Knox Martins? I love Knox Martins!' Knox smiled at the note as he opened the next page. 'Princess of Merivilla kingdom.' There was a little mermaid drawing next to it. Knox Martins was confused as he read the rest of it.
