He brings his hand up and cups my chin, and rubs his thumb across my jaw while he smiles at me; and I want to melt because of it. Wait... What the fuck? I'm his first mate?? How?? Dimitri walks me to the front of the stage where the table is set up iwth everything we need for me to take my place as Luna. “My pack members, as you know, I found my second chance mate, Ayda. She is my love, my son’s mother, and now, she will become your Luna.”

I answered and she rolled her eyes immediately. "Oh don't do that. Don't go 'baby' on me. Between I and Elena, who is your Luna?" She questioned and my expression turned sour as I sat up. "What sort of question is that?" I shot back and she took a deep breath in. "Because I'm still trying to understand it and it's not still making sense either ways." She threw hand gestures everywhere as she spoke and I heaved a sigh. "What do you mean?' I questioned again. "I'm your second chance mate, am I not Sergio? I am not your original fated mate."

As the carriage rode off towards the gates of the Alpha's stead, Luna Marion clenched her fists in pure anger. "Calm down." Someone whispered behind her. "He has never gone against me. Never." I said, then started moving without checking if he was following me. The Luna lessons were a tradition in the shadows that people who were chosen by the moon goddess as the Alpha's mate had to go through. This was one of the times I was grateful for Damian's scent marking me. "If you step closer and inhale my scent, you will see that I am Alpha Damian's mate—his second chance mate, to be precise. So unless you call in the chief spirit judge to carry out my trial fairly, then release me," I demanded, holding my ground.
