The Mark Of Athena Novels & Stories

Athena responds, the smirk on her face disappearing, “You should be excited that he wants me to keep an eye on you, until you are able to complete the task. Shouldn’t you be happy?” “What exactly is master planning? He will not send a total stranger here to keep an eye on me, I have not forgotten what I should do. He didn’t need to send you, I think you should go back” “Of course not” Athena nods in the negative, “I have to follow the master’s orders, your mark and mate ceremony is in a few days. You can not be harmed, he wants me to make sure that everything goes smoothly” Now my suspicions and fear are confirmed, master Athan sure knows about the mark and mate ceremony and I am aware of th

Athena and the others didn't seem to be having such a nice time either. "Mark, I think it's time to call in the standby team." Athena shouted at me, as she struggled with the rogues around her. She was bleeding from her nose; a result of tuning into the abilities of the Soul splitter for so long. I heard it drained energy from her. "Ngh.. Fuck! Athena I really can't concentrate on the mindlink with all these motherfuckers chewing on me." I protested, tearing the jaw of one of the rogues apart.

My heart sank. Dark energy… inside me. Athena fell silent for a moment. Then she spoke softly. The symbol on your palm. It is poison. It crawled into us. Kayden’s jaw clenched. “Is it the ritual?” he asked. “The mark on her palm? That twisted symbol?”

Raphael's POV "Useless, that's what all of you are. I can't believe that to call yourself the best warriors of this pack and you can't find a single woman. You should all be ashamed of having the rank that you do!" I raged and fumed in my office at the special team that had been arranged for the sake of finding Athena. She was not strong, and currently she was pregnant, so she should be even be weaker than usual, which means that finding her should be easy. But yet none of these morons had been able to do it for the past two weeks.

The mark tingled on my neck like a brand of fire and ice. “Alpha Liana,” the Shaman said. “Please mark Alpha Darius to complete this union.” Darius’s mouth glistened with my blood. He turned his face over his shoulder to expose the point where I had to mark him. Without hesitation, I raised myself on toes and sank my fangs in his neck. He let out a low groan, his arms wrapping around me tightly. Marking him felt so natural, like I was made for him. I pulled my fangs out and said, “And now you're mine.”

He and I had chosen a spot together and marked it so we could meet up before continuing the journey. Noticing the marked tree, I stopped and took a few steps away from Athena. She looked around her eyes searching for something until they landed on Zavier. She gasped and the colours on her face drained. It was like she finally realized something. Well it took her long enough, I thought. “I would say you’re late, but seeing as you brought the girl, it’s better late than never.” Zavier’s voice drew menacingly towards Athena even though he was talking to me.

Astraea replied pointing towards it and Aurors traced her fingers to it. " What about it?"Aurora asked as she felt a shiver of pleasure run through her body as his fingers traced Leonidas's mark. " Didn't Ares mark you yet?" Astraea asked as she stared at Leonidas's mark. " Huh?" Aurora questioned sounding confused. " Why would Ares mark me? Isn't Leonidas's mark enough" Aurora questioned with a frown on her forehead.

Axel asks softly. “I think so,” I reply, hesitant to say it out loud. “The Moon Goddess,” Kane whispers, and a shiver runs up my spine. “Holy shit,” I mutter, and suddenly my knees are weak, and I let go of their hands and sit in the dirt. I stare at my hands until my eyes adjust, and I gasp when I look at my left wrist. “What’s wrong?” Kane asks, kneeling beside me. “Look at your wrists,” I mutter, holding mine in the moonlight. Three overlapping circles around a wolf symbol glow brightly. “Are yours the same?”

she called. No answer. Of course not. This wasn’t real. Or maybe— It was too real. A low sound rippled through the darkness. Not loud. Not aggressive. But powerful. Ancient. And then— Light. Not from above. From below. A faint glow began to form beneath her, spreading slowly outward like cracks of gold through black stone. Her mark burned. Hard. Lyra gasped, clutching her wrist as the light intensified, rising upward—wrapping around her like it recognized her.

But I couldn’t shake the feeling that I’d seen this before — in that red desert, under the three moons. The devil had knocked. And now she wanted in.
