Its surrounding environment was great, and it was normal for there to be wild animals from time to time. Olivia had just fallen asleep. She hadn't gotten into a deep sleep yet. She immediately opened her eyes when she heard the owl hooting. Normally, Ethan would already be home at this hour, but he wasn't home yet. Madam Burgess hadn't been staying in recently, too. She was the only one in the enormous house. The room was in complete darkness. There were only some warm yellow lights in the yard. She saw a large owl as soon as she opened her eyes.

A rustle erupts to her right, and she squints at the shadow on the ground, her night vision granted by her wolf counterpart allowing Olivia to easily make out the shape of what appears to be an owl, the bird perched higher on the small cliff of soil and leaves. The owl peers back at Olivia for a moment, holding in its beak a worm, and with the sound of another ruffle in the forest, the owl takes off, vanishing through the trees’ crowns. Olivia shrugs and stands from her crouch position, and she quickly dresses herself back, grabs her phone that she tucks in her sweatpants’ pockets, and she trudges to the forest’s outskirts, making her way back to the flat.
