As soon as I put the the sliver glass in the table, it is like something has been removed from my eyes .It is like I have been in the dark for some time...every thing comes back to me at once.

Probably the glass he just broke. Slowly, Bhyron steps away from the table, clasps his hand behind his back and paces to the screen. A loud crunching sound fills the room as he walks across the broken glass. The vioence is gone from his eyes. Now, his face is back to being a cold, unreadable mask. “Gentlemen, thank you for attending today’s meeting. You all may take your leave now.” The men exchange glances, whispering amongst themselves. I’m confused and terrified at the same time.

And Sara’s right arm was wrapped in gauze covering some other, unknown wound. Taking in the picture of his sweet, innocent niece, lying there, unmoving, was more than Johnny could handle. With a wrenching sob, a damn broke inside of him as he sank to his knees in tears. Johnny was beyond words, beyond grief, all he could think was that he had somehow let this happen.

She knew because she’d buried that exact coat two years ago. The figure raised one hand and pressed it to the glass from the outside. Five fingers splayed. Then wrote a single word in the condensation, letters backward from the inside but unmistakable: POMEGRANATE Elias-9 made a sound like a wounded animal. Mara screamed. The glass wall went completely black, opaque mode slamming down like a guillotine. When it cleared thirty seconds later, the deck was empty. But the word remained, dripping down the glass in slow red rivulets that definitely hadn’t been condensation.

The entrance had two partitions—one made of mirror-like glass on the left and the other of rough iron steel on the right. Sighting my reflection in the glass only shattered my heart further. How had I not noticed my clothes were torn until now? My face was paler, my eyes seemed to have lost their shine, buried deep in their sockets, and my cheeks were hollow. I looked dishevelled, and anyone who saw me would think I was mentally deranged—which I was, anyway I could sense it.

“That’s impossible.” His eyes locked on hers, unreadable, but sharp enough to cut. “Then someone wants me to believe otherwise.” And with that, the glass between them shattered not in a burst, but in a slow, deadly crack that promised the next chapter would draw blood. .

Rennie continued talking, not pausing for either of us to comment. The musty stench of an abandoned structure combined with what could only be described as the pungent ammonia scent of urine hit us as we stepped beyond the second set of glass doors. A knot caught in my throat as my stomach revolted. Dipping my chin, I fought the urge to cover my mouth and nose. It had obviously been a while since this place had seen life that wasn’t of the rodent variety. “I’m sorry about the odor,” Rennie said. “We didn’t have time to air out the building.” She pointed to the glass separation. “Security doors. Of course you can do whatever you want with…well, anything, once it’s yours. What are your plans?”

The sound of shattering glass echoed in the vast living room, and Zara froze mid-step, her eyes darting toward the source of the chaos.
