After arranging the ride for my parents, I thanked the taxi driver, ready to walk to the hotel with Christopher.
I glanced back at Oliver, his face twisted in quiet despair. "Goodbye, Oliver."
Then, I turned away and melted into Christopher's embrace.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Oliver drop to his knees in the snow.
