Her Graceful War Song

Her Graceful War Song

"Honestly, before he left, I didn't think I would miss him so much. But at night, he just pops into my mind and takes up so much space. I can't get rid of him. His nerve knows no bounds." Violet shivered involuntarily. "That's so cheesy. I can hardly believe you just said that." Carissa smiled sweetly but with a touch of frustration. "Alright, enough about him. The queen's under house arrest. It's obvious the issue with the academy was her doing. Ruining someone's reputation, silencing them... The king will likely leave her in the cold for a while. Appointing the crown prince probably won't happen anytime soon." "The king's mind isn't even on that matter," Violet replied. "He only wants to g

I love reading but choosy, and this book caught my attention as the author's thought was put into writing. It portrayed the life of normal and those in power clearly. It contains political, military, monarchial, business, education, martial arts, humanitarian, judicial aspects that I can relate to.

I like how this novel is now evolving into an interesting Sherlock Holmes case after the much-needed testimonies of Caden, Barett, Viola and Violet in particular... And I don't understand people's lack of patience, I really don't... for my part I can't wait to see what the author has in store for us

Bride of the Vampire Lord

Bride of the Vampire Lord

How long have I been here? Have they sent someone for her as well? I struggled to vainly break free from the shackles. The Queen turned around, "There is no use of struggling. You will not get out of this place until I say so. You have not only disobeyed my orders of not keeping any relation with the human girl but also had the audacity to hide her in the village that is a neutral ground and put up wards which will make it difficult for us to locate her!"Her voice rose an octave as she spoke and by the time she finished, her voice was cold and thunderous.

Bound by the moonlight.

Bound by the moonlight.

Only then did she finally look up at me, her expression inscrutable. One of the guards, standing vigilantly by the Queen Mother's side, swiftly came to my side, grabbing my arm to hold me back. In a firm voice, she declared, "You will not disrespect our queen in that manner." She attempted to handcuff both of my hands, clearly not willing to tolerate any further defiance. However, the Queen Mother intervened, raising her hand to signal for the guard to stop and leave the room. The guard hesitated for a moment, torn between her loyalty to the queen and the orders she had received. After a silent nod from the Queen Mother, she reluctantly withdrew, leaving us alone in the chamber.

AUCTIONED TO THE LYCAN KING

AUCTIONED TO THE LYCAN KING

"I found the cook. Her name is Marta. She is old. Her memory is not perfect. But she remembers." "Remembers what?" "She remembers the Queen being confined to her chambers after Asher was born. Not for recovery. As punishment. Lord Kael told the staff she was unstable. Dangerous. That she needed to be kept away from the baby for everyone's safety." My stomach turned. "That is how you isolate someone. Make everyone believe they are the problem." "It gets worse. Marta said the Queen tried to send letters. To her family. To wolf packs who might have helped her. But Kael intercepted everything. Told the staff she was trying to incite a rebellion."

Araknee: The Lost Princess

Araknee: The Lost Princess

Richard and Granark moved past them to join us. "R-release me, you witch!" The queen bellowed out. "You cannot handle me like this!" Ignoring her protests, King Reginald made the queen take four forceful steps foward. Because she was trying so hard to resist his control, her face had turned bright red. A couple of veins had popped up on her forehead and sweat trailed down her neck and into her clothes. Gritting her teeth and growling, the queen forced herself to standstill, when King Reginald was trying to make her walk. Eventually she lost the battle, and took seven quick steps, past the dead guards on the grounds.

The Alpha’s Double Game

The Alpha’s Double Game

the elder said, lowering her hand, “results in exile.” My chest tightened. “In extreme cases,” another elder added quietly, “death.” The word settled into the stones. Derek spoke again, his voice lower now. “When.” “Three nights from the full moon,” the first elder answered. I swallowed. My mouth felt dry, but my mind was clear. “And until then?” I asked. “You remain Queen,” she said. “Observed. Restricted.” Restricted. The word felt like a chain around me. Every step I took would be watched. Every word I said would be noticed. The freedom I had as Queen felt smaller now.

ARANJO

ARANJO

Instead, the Queen's hand was suspended in the air because it was captured by Aranjo. Aranjo won't let himself be repressed. No longer, neither in the celestial realm nor in this mortal world. Aranjo took one step forward and stared intently at the Queen who was surprised at Aranjo's courage. "The Queen must be careful! If the Queen accidentally injures this face, the face that the King likes so much, according to the Queen, will the King stay silent?" said Aranjo and looked with hostility at the Queen. The Queen gasped for a moment, as if she was bewitched by Aranjo's words. After that, the Queen threw her hand out of Aranjo's grasp.

Claiming His Queen

Claiming His Queen

Hated that she knew how to "Make sure you solve your mystery within the walls of the manor." Shrugging, she said, "I'm sorry, that's not enough." He felt his control snap. "You know what lay beyond the manor's walls? You've seen it, Lily; you cannot risk leaving; we've had that conversation." "That doesn't count when an innocent man is rotting in your dungeon for a crime he didn't commit." "You don't know that!" He shut his eyes, massaging the bridge of his nose, "Do I have to remind you? Ruslan is still on the loose, and he promises his next try will be his last; we can't make any mistakes,"

The human queen

The human queen

The way her shoulders remain tense, held too tightly, as though her body has forgotten how to rest. The way she breathes. Controlled. But uneven. She knows. Not fully. But enough. Enough to understand that this moment cannot be undone. The hall is filled. Witnesses stand in silence along the walls. Nobles in polished garments. Guards standing rigid at their posts. Servants watching from shadows, their expressions filled with quiet sorrow. Her family watches. The Queen stands near the front, her face pale but steady. Her hands remain clasped tightly before her, knuckles white from pressure. Her father stands beside her, his expression carved into something unbreakable, but the tension in his

HIS QUEEN

HIS QUEEN

Nala roughly pushed the girl into Noir's arms and he knocked her out. "Where are the others" Thane growled out. Althea answered. "When I got back from the infirmary, everywhere was quiet. The guards and the maids were all asleep. I decided to hide myself when I heard some noise in the kitchen. The beta female and the queen wanted something to eat. After they left, I saw her pour something on one side of the steak. When she tasted it, she didn't eat from the part that she poured something on. So I figured something was wrong. When she got back to the kitchen, she made a call and said she had done it and the queen will be dead soon"
