The book said. I placed my trembling hand on the glowing pages of the Book of Shadows and a searing pain shot through my fingers like a bolt of lightning. It was as if my hand had been engulfed in flames, the intensity of the sensation causing me to cry out in agony. "Ahhhh!" I yelped, my voice echoing through the cottage as I tried to jerk my hand away from the book's surface. But to my horror, the pain only intensified, as though invisible chains were holding me in place, trapping me in a vortex of excruciating torment.

TESSA POV I slowly wake to the sun beaming in my bedroom and the sudden pain in my head has me hissing and grabbing at it like it is about to explode. I look around the room and everything is blurry at first before my sight comes into focus. I notice that I am naked under the blankets and the events of the day before start flashing through my mind. The battle with the vampires. My wolf. The fire. Everything. And I jolt up quickly in bed before I feel a hand on my shoulder.

(Evelyn’s POV) When I opened my eyes, it was pitch dark and I was not able to see anything. I heard a clanking of chains when I tried to move around. I could clearly feel the chains around my hand and legs again. After a few seconds, one of the lights switched on and I closed my eyes for a few seconds because of it. And when I opened it, there was a man standing in front of me. His face was not visible but when he came into the light I could see him clearly.

Immediately, they all disappeared and as the thunder struck continuously startling Sharlynn, she opened her eyes but couldn't see anything - she was blind! But it wasn't this that scared her, it was the fact that this was her worst nightmare coming to life!
