Mr. Vaughn Alexander Sterling's POV I went to bed early because I could no longer stand the anxiety, time was so slow, and I had almost a day left. Early the next morning, I woke up, and then I was happy that it was D-Day, and they would surely fulfill their promise. I went into the bathroom, and there I freshened up, forgetting that it was by noon and that if I began to prepare, I would spend a lot of time waiting for them to arrive and the experiment to begin.

"Did everything work out okay with the elevator? Did stopping 10 times give you enough time to have a conversation?" I nodded, "I mean it was obviously pretty quick, but yes, I think so." I ask, the plan was to keep her under for days at first, once we make sure her body is healed, we'll wake her up. "Yes, put her under for the night, starting tomorrow don't go too hard with the sedatives, turn the tapes on," James orders us, we'll keep her under but give her enough consciousness to be able to feel us, and hear us, it's like she's dreaming the whole time. Forcing myself to shake away that distracting, reckless fantasy, I quickened my pace down the grand staircase, heading straight toward little Timothy’s bedroom. Grandfather had admitted that he wasn't sure how well our memories would translate, if they'd just be simple video and auditory data, or something more. For our last night together, we had hardly slept at all. We took full advantage of the few precious hours we had left. Now, I felt like I wanted to fall asleep on my feet, but staying awake wouldn't be a problem for much longer. That part would help to reduce the chance of us failing to enter the server and simply losing our minds instead.

He glanced at the big wall clock, confirming that he wasn't seeing things. He suddenly realized that he had slept four hours longer than usual. It was already 9 am in the morning, and the sun was already up. Normally, he woke up precisely at 5 am, no matter what time he went to bed. Even if he slept at 4 am, he would still wake up at that exact time. This disrupted sleep pattern wasn't good for his health, even if his body could handle it. But surprisingly, he had overslept.

I whispered to myself as I paused what I was watching and then I closed the laptop, I didn't even realize that it was almost morning. "It's 1:43 am in the morning. My help is as long as the life of the immortals." I said I laughed at myself, I didn't really finish the video because I was too tired. I haven't gotten through it yet because of the many failed experiments they've done, it hasn't reached my sleepiness. I was about to lie down in my bed when I heard a noise from outside my room. Because I'm a curious person, of course I'll check what kind of noise it is or who's making noise at this time of night. I walked to the door of my room and turned the doorknob and opened it.
