Samantha picks it up and adds it to her collection. Later that afternoon, Samantha and Andrew decide to rent some surfboards and try their hand at surfing. Neither of them has ever surfed before, but they're both up for the challenge. With the help of a friendly surf instructor, they paddle out into the ocean and wait for the perfect wave. When it comes, they both stand up on their boards and ride the wave all the way to the shore. They're both thrilled and exhausted, but they've never felt more alive.

The sun was coming up now as she turned to watch the next group coming in on the next wave. There was ordered chaos in surfing. You took turns. You didn’t purposefully cut anyone off. You were respectful of not overcrowding the wave.
