Whitecloak steps down glancing from the other Wolf to me. Behind him figures appear. Lots of them. “You three take the big one.” Fangboy says. “And we’ll take the diamond.”

She couldn't be. They pressed on, moving deeper into unfamiliar forest. With each step, the whispers grew stronger, multiplying like echoes in a canyon. ‘Lost. Betrayed. Broken.’ ‘Like us. Like him.’ ‘The white wolf knows.’ "Stop!" Selene clutched her head. "Just stop!" "Selene?" Rowan reached for her, concerned etching his features. "What's wrong?" But when she looked up at him, everything changed. Where Rowan had stood was a massive white wolf, larger than any she'd ever seen. Its fur gleamed like moonlight, its eyes ancient and terrible. Power rolled off it in waves that made her knees weak.

That staying was death? Why? I asked with a huff of breath. He looked at the moon. Then he looked at the woods behind us and snarled. Was it at me? No, it couldn’t be. I stood up. My hackles raised. The fur along my spine stood straight up. I smelled it too. Rot. Iron. Old blood. Silverfangs. They weren't at the house anymore. They are here. The White Wolf bared his teeth. He looked at me, then at the trees.

*LOGAN*_* The White Fang Pack was the most dangerous and deadly pack, headed by the ruthless Alpha, Buck. His eyes different from mine, was blood red, because he had shed a lot of blood over the years. He had killed more than I had killed, and any Alpha with a blood red eyes was tagged dangerous because of their brutality. The White Fang Pack wolves would be able to render a werewolf weak and shorten their lifespan if they are bitten with their smallest fang when triggered.

I will kill them. But suddenly, something explodes from the underbrush. It isn’t Frank. It is a huge white wolf with blue eyes and boy does it look pissed. It knocks me out of the way. I notice how its fur reflects the moonlight. I have never seen this wolf before and I can’t look away. He is beautiful. The White Wolf bares his fangs as he advances on the three wolves. They whine and scatter. Their tails are low, ears pressed back, as they slink into the shadows like a scolded puppy.

The morning mist curled low over the edges of Moonfang's forest, hiding the treeline like the breath of some ancient god. But nothing about the serenity of dawn could prepare Veyra for what they found carved into the old oak near her family's cottage. "The White Wolf must die." The words were deep, gouged by claws or a blade, raw and red with sap. The bark bled as though the tree itself wept for the message it carried.

My head shoots up and I look at him quizzically. “Where?” I asked. “White fang. See this tower off in the distance?” He says pointing to the picture I was holding of the view out the window. I nod my head. “No other packs have towers that close to the pack house. The sound of the hum from the electricity hurts werewolves ears too much to have one that close. White fang is the only pack that I know of that has one within a twenty-mile radius of the pack.”

The sun rises higher as the trees thin, and I know we’re close. Finally, a large gate looms ahead, tall and silver-edged, the emblem of a wolf howling at a crescent moon painted across its iron frame. The whitefang pack.

White, claws fully extended and ready to fight. “You just had to say something,” Janea sighed. Mrs. White broke into a full sprint and tackled me into the back wall. She punched me square in the face with such speed that I didn't even see her strike. She followed up with a ferocious right hook and then a kick to the stomach that made me double over in pain.

However, they collapsed after only a few steps. "Hmph, do you know why it's called Drunken Passersby? No one who walks in can remain standing!" Fifi said proudly. She had bitten her tongue, and the intense pain allowed her to regain control of her lips. "Is that so? In that case, let me show you the power of Lord Yama!" After he said that, the white wolf entered the backyard. White mist emanated from its mouth as it approached Fifi, making it difficult for her to remain conscious.
